    Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating bagged materials. A bagging machine is equipped with feed tubes that feed a conduit through a bag filling tunnel of the machine and through the open end of the bag and into the bag. The conduit is perforated and when the bag is filled, the length of the conduits is extended out through the bag end to be connected to a treatment media, e.g., forced air. An opening is provided at the rear end to provide an exhaust opening for air that is forced into the conduit, out the perforations and through the bagged material. The air will dry the material to lower the moisture content or provide oxygen as may be desired to enhance decomposition. Water may also be introduced as desired.

One of the panels is a side panel extending from one end of the bag to the other end along the inner concave curvature of the bag.     Abstract: An improved breather system for a sealed storage structure. An annular flexible diaphragm is located within the upper portion of the storage structure and the inner periphery of the diaphragm is sealed to a central inlet feed tube, while the outer periphery is sealed to an impervious platform that is mounted on the wall of the structure beneath the roof. A manhole is provided in the roof for entry onto the platform by workmen in order to repair or replace the diaphragm. The diaphragm and platform separate the storage structure into a lower storage chamber and an upper chamber which is exposed to the atmosphere. The diaphragm will move up and down within the structure in accordance with the pressure differential between the chambers. The diaphragm has a substantially greater surface area than the cross section area of the storage structure, so there is substantial travel between its uppermost and lowermost positions to thereby greatly increase the breathing capacity over conventional breather systems.

    Abstract: A completely sealed silo structure for animal feed which while excluding atmospheric oxygen will permit access by the operator for purposes of maintenance and repair.     Abstract: A tank confining high moisture material such as spent brewers grain and having a plurality of apertured pipes extending vertically along the inner wall of the tank and secured to the wall. The apertures in the pipes are vertically spaced and permit passage of liquid in the stored material into the pipes and flow of the liquid downwardly to a manifold for discharge from the tank. The method consists of utilizing the weight of the column of stored material to force the liquid to flow outwardly towards the wall of the tank and the tendency of such outward liquid flow because of the nature of the consistency of the high moisture material.
