    Abstract: A method to process an image includes: determining a first specular reflection element from an input image based on a feature of chromaticity of pixels included in the input image; extracting a second specular reflection element from the first specular reflection element based on a feature of brightness of the pixels; and correcting the input image based on the second specular reflection element.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a display apparatus which facilitates a simultaneous comparison of a plurality of images which respectively illustrate different features on one divided display screen such that the images are seamlessly displayed on the screen, and an image display method which is performable by using the apparatus. The display apparatus includes a memory configured to store a plurality of different types of images of an object, an input device configured to receive an input of a command relating to simultaneously displaying the different types of images, and a display device configured to display images. Upon receiving the command, the display device divides a screen upon which an image of the object is displayable into a first region within which a first image showing one portion of the object is displayed and a second region within which a second image showing the remaining portion of the object is displayed.

    Abstract: An X-ray imaging apparatus and control method for the X-ray imaging apparatus are provided. The X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source configured to generate and emit X-rays having a preset broadband, an X-ray detector including a plurality of raw pixels configured to detect an average of ten photons or less in response to the X-rays which are emitted and convert the detected photons into an electrical signal, and an image processor configured to produce a plurality of single-energy images corresponding respectively to a plurality of preset energy bands by separating the plurality of raw pixels for each of the plurality of preset energy bands based on the electrical signal, and to produce a multi-energy image using the single-energy images.

    Abstract: An X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source configured to radiate X-rays to a region of a subject, an X-ray detector configured to acquire a plurality of frame images related to the region of the subject by detecting the radiated X-rays, a filter configured to filter the X-rays radiated from the X-ray source, an image processor configured to set a region of interest within the region of the subject based on the plurality of frame images, and a controller configured to control the filter so that X-rays of a lower dose than a dose of X-rays made incident on the region of interest are made incident on a region of non-interest within the region of the subject, and control the X-ray detector so that a gain of the X-ray detector in the region of non-interest is greater than that in the region of interest.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an X-ray imaging apparatus that captures one or more images of an inner part of the human body or the like, and a method for controlling the apparatus. In particular, an imaging system includes an X-ray generator which is configured to irradiate a target object with X-rays, a detector which is configured to detect X-rays which are emitted at a plurality of times and which have propagated through the target object, a driver which is configured to change a position of the X-ray generator or the detector, an image processor which is configured to generate a plurality of X-ray images from the detected X-rays and to compare the plurality of X-ray images in order to generate at least one difference image, and a controller which is configured to detect tissues which constitute the target object based on the at least one difference image.
