Abstract: Methods implemented by a processor in a wireless device for detecting the presence in a network of a jammer or non-benign entity that targets physical layer channels in a communication network are disclosed. Various embodiments may determine a first signal measurement quantity based on a first physical layer communication, determine a second signal measurement quantity based on a second physical layer communication, determine a difference between the first signal measurement quantity and the second signal measurement quantity, determine whether the difference between the first signal measurement quantity and the second signal measurement quantity satisfies a threshold, determine whether a jammer or non-benign entity is present in the network in response to determining that the difference between the first signal measurement quantity and the second signal measurement quantity satisfies the threshold, and perform a mitigation operation in response to determining that a jammer or non-benign entity is present in the network.

In some aspects, the delivery of a limited amount of system information may involve broadcasting a compressed PLMN ID list (e.g., broadcasting indications of PLMNs). In some aspects, the delivery of a limited amount of system information may involve broadcasting an indication of the version of system information that is valid for a cell. In some aspects, the delivery of a limited amount of system information may involve broadcasting multiple configurations of system information along with indications of each configuration. In some aspects, the delivery of a limited amount of system information may involve broadcasting compressed non-cell-related system information.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to allocating power and/or data to uplink channels for wireless communications. The present aspects include determining an initial transmit power for each of a first carrier and a second carrier for a user equipment (UE). The present aspects further include determining that the initial transmit power of the first carrier is less than the initial transmit power of the second carrier. Additionally, the present aspects include allocating a first transmit power to the first carrier prior to allocating a second transmit power to the second carrier based on determining that the initial transmit power of the first carrier is less than the initial transmit power of the second carrier, the first transmit power is greater than the second transmit power.
