Abstract: In an aspect, a parent node sends a conditional grant for UL transmission to an IAB MT of IAB node. A triggering event for the conditional grant is based at least in part on a communication status of IAB DU of the IAB node (e.g., whether IAB DU is receiving or transmitting data, depending on IAB node duplex capability). In another aspect, IAB DU of IAB node sends a conditional grant for DL transmission to child node. A triggering event for the conditional grant is based at least in part on a communication status of IAB MT of the IAB node (e.g., whether IAB MT is receiving or transmitting data, depending on IAB node duplex capability).

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to providing dynamic frequency division multiplexing (FDM) within a component carrier (CC) for use by integrated access and backhaul (TAB) nodes. A configuration can be communicated for each cell of the IAB node indicating multiple resource availability combinations with each resource availability combination corresponding to resource block (RB) sets over multiple slots. A downlink control information (DCI) indicating one resource availability combination of the multiple resource availability combinations for one or more cells of the IAB node can be communicated as well. The IAB node can communicate, in a slot, over one or more RB sets of the multiple configured RB sets in symbols indicated as available by the one resource availability combination.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for admission control in a network (e.g., an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network). Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first base station (BS). The method generally includes sending, to an IAB-node, a request message requesting to setup or modify a context for a child node of a first logical IAB-distributed unit (DU) of the IAB-node, wherein the first logical IAB-DU is associated with the first BS, sending an indication to the IAB-node that the child node is currently served by the IAB-node at a second logical IAB-DU of the IAB-node, wherein the second logical IAB-DU is associated with a second BS, and receiving an acknowledgment message from the IAB-node based at least in part on the indication to the IAB-node.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may include a first IAB-donor-CU. The apparatus may receive a first request from a second IAB-donor-CU to route a first traffic between a first IAB node associated with the second IAB-donor-CU and a second IAB node associated with the first IAB-donor-CU. The apparatus may receive from the second IAB-donor-CU first QoS information for the first traffic. The apparatus may transmit a request to a third IAB-donor-CU to route a second traffic between a third IAB node associated with the first IAB-donor-CU and a fourth IAB node associated with the third IAB-donor-CU, where at least a part of content of the second traffic is based on the first traffic.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for handover in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network or other type of network. One example method which may be performed by a source base station (BS) includes: determining to migrate a child node from a first logical IAB-distributed unit (DU) of an IAB-node to a second logical IAB-DU of the IAB-node, wherein the first logical IAB-DU is associated with the source BS, and wherein the second logical IAB-DU is associated with a target BS; sending, to the target BS, context information of the child node served by the first logical IAB-DU in response to the determination; and indicating, to the target BS, a traffic mapping configuration at the IAB-node associated with the context information and a backhaul connection of the IAB-node.

ENHANCEMENTS FOR PERIODIC RESOURCES IN AN INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL NETWORK

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless node may receive an indication of a first periodic resource associated with the wireless node, wherein the first periodic resource is associated with one or more parameters for coordinating periodic resources or a priority flag that indicates that the first periodic resource is available to the wireless node irrespective of a resource type associated with the first periodic resource. The wireless node may communicate, with a child node or another wireless node, a message using a modified first periodic resource, wherein the modified first periodic resource includes a modified resource allocation associated with the first periodic resource or a modified resource type associated with first periodic resource. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) may transmit, to a second IAB donor CU, a resource configuration of a first cell served by an IAB node to initiate a migration of the IAB node from a first parent node to a second parent node serving a second cell associated with the second IAB donor CU. The first IAB donor CU may receive, from the second IAB donor CU, an indication that communications performed by the IAB node associated with the first cell will not conflict with communications with the second parent node serving the second cell. The first IAB donor CU may migrate the IAB node to the second parent node based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) may receive, from a first IAB node, an indication of a first distributed unit (DU) cell resource configuration for communications corresponding to a first cell that is associated with a second IAB donor CU. The IAB donor CU may transmit, to a second IAB node, an indication of a second DU cell resource configuration for communications corresponding to a second cell, wherein the second DU cell resource configuration is based at least in part on the first DU cell resource configuration and a multiplexing constraint associated with communications corresponding to the first cell and communications corresponding to the second cell. Numerous other aspects are described.
