Abstract: A rebar tying robot may include a rebar tying unit, a conveying unit, and a control unit. The conveying unit may include a longitudinal movement mechanism, a lateral movement mechanism, and a first three-dimensional distance sensor. The control unit may be configured to execute a first rebar extraction process in which the control unit extracts point clouds from point clouds included in the first point cloud data, a first judgement process in which the control unit judges whether the primary rebar exists within a predetermined judgement area based on the point clouds extracted in the first rebar extraction process, and a lateral movement process in which the control unit drives the lateral movement mechanism. When the control unit judges in the first judgement process that the primary rebar does not exist within the judgement area, the control unit may execute the lateral movement process.
