    摘要: A woven sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a woven wall with a circumferentially continuous outer periphery extending along a central axis between opposite ends. Warp yarns extend generally parallel to the central axis and fill yarns extend generally transversely to the warp yarns. At least a portion of the wall has a plurality of layers in abutment with one another. At least one of the fill yarns is provided as a shrinkable yarn that provides the wall with an ability to remain in a first, diametrically enlarged assembly state to facilitate assembly of the sleeve about the elongate member, whereupon the wall can be radially constricted to a second, diametrically constricted assembled state to maintain the sleeve in the desired location, while also minimizing the outer circumference to facilitate use of the sleeve in tight spaces.

    摘要: A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has a flexible, tubular wall of braided yarns. At least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of monofilaments and at least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of multifilaments. The plurality of multifilaments are braided in a plurality of separate bundles. Each of the bundles includes at least two multifilaments. The monofilaments are embedded into the multifilaments during the braiding process to lock the multifilaments in an “as braided” location to prevent shifting of the multifilaments during application and during use, thereby enhancing the abrasion resistance of the sleeve wall.

    摘要: A thermal sleeve for protecting an electronic member connected to a wiring harness against exposure to heat, combination thereof, and method of construction thereof is provided. The thermal sleeve has a tubular member including a circumferentially continuous wall with an insulative inner layer bounding an inner cavity extending along a central longitudinal axis between open opposite ends and a reflective outer layer. The sleeve further includes a positioning member constructed of resilient, reflective metal material. The positioning member has a tubular portion and at least one resilient finger extending radially inwardly from the tubular portion for abutment with the wiring harness. The tubular portion is fixedly attached to one of the opposite ends of the wall of the tubular member.

    摘要: A wrapped textile sleeve for protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes an inner layer having opposite inner edges extending lengthwise between opposite inner ends. The opposite inner edges are laterally spaced from one another by an inner width. The sleeve further includes an outer layer having opposite outer edges extending lengthwise between opposite outer ends. The opposite outer edges are laterally spaced from one another by an outer width. An adhesive intermediate layer is sandwiched between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein a melted portion of the adhesive intermediate bonds the inner layer to the outer layer. The adhesive intermediate layer extends beyond at least one of the inner edges to provide an exposed region of the adhesive intermediate layer. The exposed region is bonded to the outer layer and maintains the outer layer in a wrapped, tubular configuration.
