    Abstract: Mobile devices such as cellular telephones are provided that communicate with wireless networks. Cellular telephone network equipment may communicate with a cellular telephone over a data connection. The cellular telephone may have an internet protocol (IP) address that allows data to be provided to the cellular telephone over the data connection. To conserve resources and release unused IP addresses, the cellular telephone network equipment may deactivate inactive data connections after a period of inactivity. A baseband processor within a mobile device may periodically send User Datagram Protocol (UDP) keep-alive packets over the data connection to ensure that the data connection remains active. The keep-alive packets may be directed to a packet sink server or may be associated with a black hole route. An applications processor in the telephone may remain in sleep mode during keep-alive packet transmission to conserve power.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a method performed by a wireless communication device to enable the reception of a beam sweep transmission. The method comprises obtaining information enabling said wireless communication device to determine whether it is stationary, or essentially stationary. The method also comprises acquiring configuration information comprising information about the starting time for the beam sweep transmission. The method also comprises determining a time when to initiate a reception of the beam sweep transmission based at least partially on the obtained information and the acquired configuration information, thereby allowing said wireless communication device to enter, or remain in, a first activity state until the determined time. The method also comprises entering, at the determined time, a second activity state whereby said wireless communication device is capable to receive the beam sweep. There is also disclosed a complementary method performed by a radio network node as well as corresponding devices and computer programs.

The support structure includes a clamping mechanism, a connecting shaft coupled to the clamping mechanism, and a locking member sleeved on the connecting shaft and rotatable around the connecting shaft.     Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for providing a multipurpose remote control are provided. In some implementations, a system for controlling a media device is provided, the system comprising: a hardware processor connected to a touch sensor, a directional input region, and a motion sensor, wherein the hardware processor is configured to: detect that the touch sensor is activated for a predetermined period of time; and upon detecting that the touch sensor has been activated for the predetermined period of time, switching from a first mode to a second mode, wherein: the first mode comprises controlling a highlighted region displayed on the media device in response to an input provided on the directional input region and selecting an item corresponding to the highlighted region in response to depression of the touch sensor; and the second mode comprises controlling a position of a cursor displayed on the media device in response to an output of the motion sensor, selecting an item corresponding to the position of the cursor in response to depression of the touch sensor, and inhibiting the display of the highlighted region.

    Abstract: An operation device (200) for remotely operating an X-ray imaging device (1) includes an operation unit (280), a grip detection unit (240), which determines whether an operation received by the operation unit (280) is a normal operation or an erroneous operation, and a control unit (230), which transmits an operation signal corresponding to the operation to the X-ray imaging device (1). The control unit (230) transmits the signal when the grip detection unit (240) determines that the operation is a normal operation. The operation device is prevented from causing an erroneous operation of its target device.
