The shape is formed such that the two ends of the flat strip join when in a closed position. The interior of the barrette is provided with a row of teeth in order to grip the hair and prevent it from slipping through the barrette.

Each of two claw elements has an upper panel portion adjacent to the hinge axis and from which extend a plurality of spaced apart tines, configured such that the tines of one claw element are received in the spaces between tines of the other element, when the clip is closed. A flexible bridging element extends from one upper panel portion to the other, close to but below the hinge axis. One or more elongated strip sections of artificial hair, having selvage margins at one end of strip section, are secured by such margins to the bottom surface of the flexible bridging element. In a preferred form, at least one of the elongated strip sections of hair is secured with its selvage margin extending at right angles to the hinge axis, with adjacent portions of its hair strands, within a space confined by said tines and panel portions, extending generally parallel to said axis and exiting from one end of the clip.

The user may change the decorative members whenever she likes, thereby obtaining numerous combinations of the decorative members.

The hair bun kit (10) consists of a first resilient hairband (12), a second resilient hairband (48) and a hairbun mold (20) having a centered opening (22), an upper surface (24) and a lower surface (26). An optional ornamental hairband (50) may also be included to enhance the aesthetics of the hair bun (60). To use the hair bun kit (10) the first resilient hairband (12) is tightly wrapped around a bundle (64) of hair strands (62). The secured hair bundle (64) is then inserted through the centered opening (22) and the hair strands (62) are draped over the upper surface (24) of the mold (20). The second resilient hairband (48) is placed over the draped hair strands (62) and around the lower surface (26) of the hairbun mold (20) to secure the hair strands (62). The ornamental hairband (50) is then placed around the lower surface (26) of the hair bun mold to complete the hair bun (60).

摘要： The present invention is directed to a scented hair accessory preferably comprising a substantially tubular housing having a first and a second terminal end joined together to define an inner circumferential area. The tubular housing is substantially flexible and resiliently expandable about the inner circumferential area. A chamber is located within the tubular housing, into which a scenting material is located. At least a portion of the tubular housing is porous, thereby allowing the scent emanating from the scented material to escape therefrom. Optionally, a pocket is attached to the tubular housing, and the scenting material is located therewithin. The pocket is preferably sealably accessible, thereby allowing a user to remove and/or replace the scenting material therefrom. An elastic material is preferably located within the chamber to allow the tubular housing to be resiliently expandable about the inner circumferential area. Alternatively, the tubular housing can comprise an elastic material. In another embodiment of the present invention, an ornamental structure is located about a portion of the tubular housing. Optionally, scenting is operatively located on the ornamental structure. The scented hair accessory can be worn either in the hair, functionally to secure the hair in a pony tail arrangement or decoratively to provide a scent thereat, on the wrist, about the neck or at the ankle in a decorative manner.

The device is capable of being arranged in a brushing configuration for brushing hair and in a clasping configuration for clasping hair, and generally comprises a clasp frame, a brush assembly, a clasp bar, a hinge mechanism, and a releasable clasp locking mechanism. The clasp frame has a first clasp frame end portion, a second clasp frame end portion, and an intermediate clasp frame portion disposed therebetween. The brush assembly is disposed along the intermediate clasp frame portion, for brushing hair. The clasp bar has a first clasp bar end portion, a second clasp bar end portion, and an intermediate clasp bar portion disposed therebetween, which is capable of being grasped in the hand of a user. The hinge mechanism pivotally connects the first clasp frame end portion to the first clasp bar end portion so that the clasp bar can be selectively folded down over the clasp frame to provide the clamping configuration, or longitudinally extended with respect to the clasp frame to provide the brushing configuration. The clasp locking mechanism is provided for releasably locking together the second clasp frame end portion and the second clasp bar end portion when the clasp bar is folded over the clasp frame.
