摘要： An improved breakaway assembly for preventing damage to markers for agricultural equipment when such markers encounter obstacles during use. The improved breakaway assembly includes an elongated member for holding the marker in place, imparting only tension forces onto such elongated member and minimizing the amount of shearing forces typically encountered by prior art shear pins. The elongated member is generally positioned tangentially to an arc formed by rotation of the point of attachment of such elongated member about the vertical axis on which the marker pivots when an obstruction is encountered.

摘要： The invention is directed to a trash seeder having a seeding tyne and a following press wheel. A hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to both the seeding tyne and the press wheel. The press wheel is pivoted to the frame by a trailing arm and the tyne is pivoted to the trailing arm, the hydraulic cylinder acting on the tyne. Thus the single hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to both tyne and wheel, while allowing the tyne to move upwardly over obstructions without effecting operation of the press wheel.

摘要： This invention relates to an automatic release mechanism for a cultivator which provides good resistance to release of the shank holder and which upon release causes the shank holder to rise to a good height to clear obstacles encountered during operation of the cultivator. The shank holder is mounted so as to pivot about an axis and is retained in the working position by a pair of springs under tension, the forward end of the springs being mounted in front of and beneath the position of the pivot axis of the shank holder, and the moment arm of the springs is such that, as the shank holder pivots, the moment arm decreases resulting in the tangential force applied by the springs to the ground engaging tool about the pivot axis remaining substantially constant during pivoting of the shank holder to clear an obstacle.

摘要： A cultivating tool assembly for attachment to the tool bar of a cultivator frame utilizes an upright bracket for connection to the tool bar and an arm member pivotally connected to the mounting bracket and extending substantially horizontally therebehind. A coil spring biasing arrangement is also pivotally connected to the mounting bracket and extends in parallel relation to the arm member, connecting to a cradle forming a leverage arm extending upwardly from an outer end of the arm member. A tool shank having an elongate, generally horizontally extending upper end is affixed to the arm member and curves outwardly and downwardly in a semi-circular arrangement, culminating at a tool tip. The biasing arrangement is adjustable to vary the amount of force applied by the coil spring between the mounting bracket and cradle to control the running depth of the tool and to set the trip pressure.

摘要： A disk harrow has a frame adapted to be pulled along the ground in a normal travel direction and having at least one frame member, a mount on this frame adapted to secure same to a three-point tractor hitch, and a plurality of disk assemblies. Each of these disk assemblies in turn includes an inner pivot part fixed on the frame and forming lower, middle, and upper horizontal axes transverse to said direction, an outer pivot part spaced in the normal travel direction from the inner part and having respective lower, middle, and upper horizontal axes transverse to the travel direction. Respective rigid lower and middle links are pivoted on the parts between the respective lower and middle axes with the middle link shorter than the lower link. An upper leaf spring is pivoted on the parts between the upper axes, and a harrow disk is rotatable about a harrow axis transverse to the travel direction on the outer pivot part below the respective axes.

摘要： A trip mechanism for a ground working tool connected to a frame. The frame is connected to a carriage using a three point connection. A pivotal member is provided in the frame and a tension member is connected between one arm of the pivotal member and the carriage. Compression springs are provided to act between a second arm and the frame. An obstruction exerting a predetermined amount of force on the ground working tool of the implement will allow the trip mechanism to be activated thus preventing damage to the tool. An adjustable stop is provided on the frame engaging the first arm when the apparatus is in its untripped position to adjust the untripped position of the second arm relative to the frame to vary the initial force required to trip the mechanism.

摘要： A forestry cultivation instrument, particularly a scarifier, is attached to a telescoping carrier. In operation, the carrier is connected to a vehicle and, when an obstacle is encountered, the carrier may telescope outwardly thereby reducing shock loading to both the vehicle and the scarifier. The telescoping members are held contracted by fluid pressure with the telescoping occurring, after the obstacle is encountered, when the obstacle causes fluid pressure to increase beyond the pressure which would occur from normal drawing resistance of the scarifier. The fluid pressure may then be used to aid the operator in clearing the scarifier from the obstacle. Various other forms of forestry equipment may be substituted for the scarifier.

摘要： A rake for use with tractors has a blade connectable to a tractor and a plurality of teeth extending from the bottom of the blade. The teeth are pivotally connected to permit movement of the teeth away from objects encountered when the tractor moves. Fluid piston and cylinder combinations interconnect the teeth with the blade so movement of the teeth displaces pressurized fluid within the piston and cylinder combinations. The pressurized fluid reverses the pivotal movement when the teeth clear the objects.
