摘要： A rack for holding a plurality of flat articles includes three elongated supports each having a longitudinal axis and each having longitudinal ends. Linking elements are connected to the elongated supports for supporting the elongated supports in a position in which the longitudinal axes of the elongated supports are parallel to one another and in which the longitudinal ends of the elongated supports are disposed at the apexes of a triangle. A pivotal mounting pivotably mounts at least one of the linking elements on at least one of the elongated supports to enable changing the relative position between the at least one elongated support and the at least one other elongated support. A plurality of spaced and parallel flange members are provided on each of the elongated supports for supporting edge portions of the flat articles in the spaces between the flange members.

摘要： An accordion pleated media storage unit is provided which is constructed of a continuous elongate web of flexible material, such as a non-woven polyester spun material. A continuous zigzag fold of the elongate web creates multiple overlying planes, each of which has at least one edge which is integral with an adjacent plane. A bond is then formed along each edge of a pair of adjacent planes, extending from a common edge to a point just short of the mid-line of each plane, such that multiple adjacent pockets are formed which, when the unit is extended, are separated by a specified distance and wherein the pocket dimensions are not altered, greatly enhancing insertion and retrieval of a storage media element.

摘要： An assembly for storing and displaying discs, cassettes, game cartridges, tapes or the like, including an elongated straight side-walled storage unit forming a column of longitudinally-spaced storage slots. First and second side members are secured to the opposite lower sides of the storage unit and extend out from it. A top member is secured to the storage unit and extends up from it. The side members and top member are configured such that together with the storage unit they define in front view a readily-recognizable outline of a common (non-storage unit) object, such as a guitar or other musical instrument. The slots or rib spaces of the storage unit define, when the object is a stringed musical instrument, the frets thereof. An interesting, attractive and readily identifiable storage and display assembly is thereby defined. The side and/or top members can also provide surfaces to which holders for holding special tapes or cases are face mounted. The entire assembly can be mounted fiat against a wall or upright to a base. When mounted to a base, the side members themselves can be directly secured to the base to further brace and support the elongated storage unit upright on the base.

摘要： A storage rack for storing compact audio discs or other relatively small containers or boxes of right parallelepiped configuration, so that a maximum number of containers can be stored in a way which will afford ready access to each. The storage rack includes a series of side-by-side grooves or slots, each of which defines a right angular corner or angulation in which the corner of the compact disc container or other parallelepiped-shaped container can be rested. The angulations of adjacent slots are offset in a way which causes the stored containers set therein to be offset from each other, and therefore to present individual corners of the several containers for easy grasping when it is desired to remove a single one of the containers from the rack.

摘要： Storage systems and methods to provide high-density data storage. Freestanding storage servers include storage drives, left and right backplanes, a backing plate, host adapters, and cables. The left and right backplanes are secured to the backing plate. The mounting holes of each storage drive attached to the left backplane are bilaterally symmetrical about a median plane to the corresponding mounting holes of each storage drive attached to the right backplane. Each left and right backplane has plug receptacles which are aligned and coupled to cables. The plug receptacles of the left backplane are bilaterally symmetrical about the median plane to corresponding plug receptacles of the right backplane. Host adapters are aligned, and each has plug receptacles, organized into a left and a right connector group, which are coupled to cables. For each host adapter, the left connector group is bilaterally symmetrical about the median plane to the right connector group.
