    Abstract: A system for controlling access to a restricted-access area in a building has a sliding door system and a controller for the sliding door system. The sliding door system has a door frame and a sliding door which can be moved in the door frame between a closed position and an open position by a drive unit. The door frame has a passage region and a wall shell region which at least partially accommodates the sliding door in the open position. A controller is arranged on the sliding door and is communicatively connected to the drive device. The controller is designed to control a movement of the sliding door between the closed position and an open position. A light projection device is arranged in an interior of the sliding door and is communicatively connected to the controller. The light projection device is designed to project status information specified by the controller for a user requesting access to the restricted-access area as a visible light projection onto a projection surface.

    Abstract: A method of initiating an auto-secure operation associated with a movable barrier operator, the method including: capturing, via a camera system, image data associated with a region of interest associated with the camera system; processing, via a processor, the image data to determine whether a person is present in the image data; transmitting a person detection signal from the processor to an access control platform component based on determining the person is present in the image data; formulating, by the access control platform component, a person detected notification in response to receiving the person detection signal; transmitting the person detected notification to a user device; and initiating, by the access control platform component in response to receiving the person detection signal, an auto-secure operation including sending a close command to a movable barrier operator to cause the movable barrier operator to close a movable barrier.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to an access verification system for a vehicle. The system can comprise a monitoring unit configured to detect a motion within a predefined periphery of the vehicle, a verification unit configured to be activated, when the motion detected by the monitoring unit is a motion-characteristic of a person, and when the detected motion is equal to or larger than a predetermined motion-threshold, and configured to determine if the person corresponds to a registered person by comparing the at least one motion-characteristic of the person detected by the monitoring unit with at least one pre-registered motion-characteristic of the registered person, and a processing unit configured to provide the person access to the vehicle when the person is verified as the registered person.

    Abstract: A face authentication apparatus includes a face image acquisition unit, a collation unit, a time measurement unit, and a threshold change unit. The face image acquisition unit acquires a face image of an authentication target. The collation unit performs face authentication on the face image of the authentication target on the basis of a threshold. The time measurement unit measures the elapsed time from the time of starting operation of the face authentication apparatus. The threshold change unit restricts changing of the threshold to a value larger than a value determined depending on the measured elapsed time.
