    摘要: The present invention relates to a mounting structure which is arranged at two abutting structural panels (1, 2) so that said structural panels are connected with each other, comprising two pairs of clamping plates, with one of said pairs of clamping plates being fixed to one structural panel (1), and the other pair of clamping plates being fixed to the other structural panel (2). The two pairs of clamping plates abut against each other with one of their clamping plates (3, 4), and the two abutting clamping plates (3, 4) are provided with mutually aligned, undercut longitudinal slots (5) which receive a connecting plate (6) connecting the abutting two clamping plates (3, 4) with each other, and being fixed to the two clamping plates (3, 4) by means of fasteners (7) which extend through said connecting plate (6). Thus, a mounting structure is provided whose manufacture is relatively easy and cost-efficient.

A pair of adjustment screws is provided in the channel, upwardly extending from the bottom thereof, for squaring the glass panel with the shoe.     摘要: A boat window having a removable screen which, in one embodiment, directly carries a louver and which can be easily installed in the window frame or removed therefrom as a single unit, so as to facilitate replacement with a conventional window screen, if desired, The louver forms a water shield which directly engages the screen frame adjacent to its top edge, so as to reduce the likelihood of water splashing through upper portions of the screen. The window comprises a frame body having a mounting flange and spigot, for installation in an opening in the boat hull. A window pane is hingedly connected to the mounting flange, and adapted to close off the space formed by the spigot. Most or all portions of the louver lie within the confines of the spigot, so as not to protrude any substantial extent, thereby reducing the likelihood of damage to the louver from inadvertent contact with other objects.

    摘要: A self-draining, leak-resistant boat window comprising a frame body having a continuous mounting flange for engagement with the hull of the boat, and a spigot wall connected with the flange and adapted to extend through an opening in the hull. A transparent molded plastic window pane is hingedly carried on the body; latches are provided to secure the pane in a closed position. The mounting flange has a peripheral groove into which a rib portion of an extruded, hollow sealing gasket is pressed. The rib portion has longitudinal barbs which frictionally engage the walls of the groove, thereby holding the gasket captive without cement. The gasket is oval in cross-section and is stretched an extent when installed on the window to thereby prevent buckling at the corners. When it is pressed between the flange and window pane it flattens a considerable amount by virtue of its oval shape, forming a tight seal.Self-draining occurs, by virtue of one part of the spigot wall being sloped, which channels water outward and downward. Water is prevented from being trapped in the space between the spigot and pane, since this area is virtually completely filled by the gasket when it is compressed by the pane.

    摘要: A glass panel is hingedly mounted for swinging movement about a structure which serves as a hinge and also as a weatherstrip. The glass panel has a substantially linear edge to which is bonded a cylindrical element, the edge of the glass panel extending into the cylindrical element for a substantial portion of a diameter. A resilient element which serves as a weatherstrip is mounted in any suitable manner on the frame, and is provided with a socket which presents a circular cross section. The cylindrical element on the linear edge of the glass panel fits into the socket thus provided in the weatherstrip, and the glass panel is thus swingable relative to the weatherstrip and frame about the axis of the cylindrical element.
