    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method, system, or devices for wireless communications may implement receiving a grant for a first transmission scheduled for a first set of resources, the first transmission associated with a first transmission parameter; receiving an indication to cancel the first transmission; dropping the first transmission based on receiving the indication; determining a second transmission parameter for a second transmission based on the first transmission parameter and irrespective of dropping the first transmission; and performing or receiving the second transmission according to the second transmission parameter. Alternatively, a device may receive an indication to cancel the second transmission; drop the second transmission based on receiving the indication; and refraining from rescheduling the first transmission on the first set of resources based on receiving the indication and irrespective of dropping the second transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may identify an angle parameter for encoding uplink messages using a fractional Fourier Transform (FrFFT). A base station may transmit a set of angle parameters or a single angle parameter that the UE is to use for encoding an uplink message. The UE may select an alpha value from the set of alpha values for the encoding. The UE may transmit an indication of a set of proposed angle parameters to the base station, and the base station may determine and indicate one of or a subset of the received set of proposed angle parameters to the UE. The base station may indicate a correspondence between angle parameters and beam configurations, and the UE may identify an alpha parameter value based on a subsequently indicated beam configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support discontinuous scheduling. A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a grant of resources of a communication channel over a multiple of aggregated TTIs. The UE may monitor a control channel for the grant of resources transmitted by base station. The base station and the UE may identify a location of an excluded TTI within the plurality of aggregated TTIs. The excluded TTI may correspond to a TTI for communicating synchronization signals, random access channel (RACH) signals, or the like. The base station may communicate with the UE via the resources of the communication channel over at least a subset of the aggregated TTIs based on the grant and the location of the excluded TTI.

    Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to mechanisms to implement PUCCH resource configuration for two-step RACH for subsequent HARQ messaging. After a UE transmits msgA to a BS, the BS responds with msgB including a PUCCH resource indicator in a DCI of PDCCH, or a PUCCH resource indicator in PDSCH. The UE attempts to decode PDCCH or PDSCH, respectively. Upon decoding, the UE will use the configuration identified by the resource indicator. With the PUCCH resource configuration information, the UE signals a HARQ message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Multiple component carriers may be configured for communications between communication devices, where uplink data channel resources may be scheduled on a component carrier of the component carriers. A communication device may report, over the uplink data channel resources to another communication device, a first report for available transmission power for uplink data transmissions over the component carrier and a second report associated with available transmission power for uplink control transmissions over a second component carrier. The other communication device may use the second report to determine the available transmission power for uplink control transmissions over the second component carrier. The other communication device may schedule communication resources based on the determined available transmission power for uplink control transmissions.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive configuration information from a base station, and the configuration information may indicate at least two different random access channel (RACH) request configuration parameters that each is associated with a respective radio resource control (RRC) state. The UE may be further configured to generate a first message associated with a two-step RACH procedure including a preamble and a payload, the payload including data on an uplink data channel and at least one reference signal. The UE may be further configured to transmit the first message to the base station using at least one of the at least two different RACH request configuration parameters that corresponds to an RRC state of the UE. The preamble may be transmitted on a first set of resources associated with a RACH occasion, and the payload may be transmitted on a second set of resources.
