Abstract: An apparatus configured to: receive, from a network node, a user equipment capability enquiry; determine whether ignoring a capability filter in a cell is allowed; generate a capability information message based, at least partially, on a determination of whether ignoring the capability filter in the cell is allowed; and transmit, to the network node, the capability information message. An apparatus configured to: provide, to a user equipment, an indication of whether the user equipment is allowed to ignore a capability filter in a cell; provide, to the user equipment, a user equipment capability enquiry with respect to, at least, the capability filter; and receive, from the user equipment in response to the user equipment capability enquiry, a capability information message.

Abstract: An apparatus configured to: determine whether to ignore a capability filter, wherein the capability filter defines a set of frequency bands for reporting a capability information message; and transmit, to a network node in response to the determining, an indication of whether the apparatus has determined to ignore the capability filter. An apparatus configured to: transmit, to a user equipment, a user equipment capability enquiry, wherein the user equipment capability enquiry comprises, at least, a capability filter defining a set of frequency bands for reporting a capability information message; receive, from the user equipment, an indication of whether the user equipment has determined to ignore the capability filter; and determine, whether to request at least one additional capability from the user equipment based, at least partially, on the indication.

Abstract: Disclosed are devices, methods, and computer programs for facilitating the limited logical channel identification (LCID) space. A terminal device in a communication network may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory having computer program code stored thereon and configured, with the at least one processor, cause the terminal device to perform: receiving, from a network device, a mapping configuration of at least one Logical Channel Identification (LCID) value and/or at least one extended LCID (eLCID) value configured by the network device for at least one Media Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE), wherein the mapping configuration specifies an association between the at least one MAC CE is associated with the at least one Logical Channel Identification (LCID) value and/or the at least one extended LCID (eLCID) value.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to for conditionally skipping monitoring of downlink control channel in random access. A first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, a command indicating the first apparatus to skip monitoring a downlink control channel between the second apparatus and the first apparatus for a time period. The first apparatus initiates an RA procedure towards the second apparatus. The time period at least partially overlaps with a time window associated with the RA procedure and an end of the time period is after an end of the time window. The first apparatus determines whether the RA procedure is successfully completed or contention resolution for the RA procedure is successful. Based on the determination, the first apparatus ignores or performs the command after the end of the time window.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable storage medium for controlling DCCH based non-Small Data Transmission (SDT) data arrival. In some example embodiments, a terminal device transmits an indication an availability of non-Small Data Transmission (SDT) data to a network device during a SDT procedure. The terminal device monitors for a response to the indication, and performs an action comprising in response to absence of the response to the indication of the non-SDT data. The action comprises: entering an idle or inactive state and/or initiating a connection setup or resume request to the network device.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for handling expiry of at least one time alignment timer (TAT) of multiple timing advance groups (TAGs) associated with a serving cell. In an example method, the terminal device receives determines at least two TAGs for a serving cell, wherein the at least two TAGs comprise a primary TAG and a secondary TAG. The terminal device determines whether at least one TAT of the at least two TAGs has expired and maintain, based on determining that the at least one TAT has expired, one of the primary TAG and the secondary TAG. In this way, only a single TAG is maintained once the terminal device has single TAT/no TAT running removing ambiguities in RA procedure/UL signal transmissions. Since the network is aware of the TAT expiry, it knows behaviour of the terminal device and can act accordingly.

Abstract: The present discloses a device, method, apparatus and computer readable storage medium of scheduling request (SR) and random access (RA) triggering for small data transmission (SDT). In example embodiments, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a configuration of one or more configured grant (CG) resources for a SDT procedure and a list of one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) associated with respective logical channels (LCHs) allowed for SDT over at least one of the one or more CG resources. After the terminal device initiates the SDT procedure in an inactive mode, if the terminal determines that a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered, the terminal device determines whether a configuration of a SR mask is to be applied for a LCH configured for SDT.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for control of access for devices with different capabilities are provided. For example, a method may include receiving, from a user equipment, an indication in a random access message. The method may also include determining whether the user equipment has one receive branch or two receive branches based on the indication. The method may further include communicating with the user equipment based on the determination that the user equipment has one receive branch or two receive branches.
