    摘要: User equipment devices (UEs) may receive multimedia broadcast and multicast service (MBMS) transmissions over a bandwidth part (BWP) specifically allocated for MBMS point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmissions, or over MBMS-specific resources configured for PTM transmissions within a UE-dedicated BWP. The network (e.g. base station) may configure the MBMS-specific BWP for the UE for the PTM transmissions per serving cell. The MBMS-specific BWP may be used for downlink transmissions, and may be cell specific or UE specific per serving cell. The base station may provide MBMS PTM scheduling information per BWP to the UE, may indicate whether a UE-dedicated BWP may be used for PTM scheduling and transmission, and may provide the corresponding scheduling configuration when applicable. The UE may communicate its various capabilities related to MBMS reception and simultaneous reception of PTM and point-to-point (PTP) transmissions to the base station to aid the base station in scheduling communications of the UE.

    摘要: A base station may transmit beam indication information to one or more user equipment (UE) devices. For each of a plurality of time units (e.g., symbols) in a time interval (e.g., spanning one or more slots), the beam indication information indicates a corresponding beam that the base station will use to transmit or receive. A UE device may have knowledge of the beam in which it currently resides, e.g., by performing power measurements during a beam scan procedure. Thus, the beam indication information enables the UE to perform transmissions and/or receptions (e.g., configured transmissions and/or receptions) during the appropriate time unit(s). The beam indication information may be dynamically transmitted as part of downlink control information. This transmission may omni-directional, wide beam, or narrow beam. Various schemes of encoding the beam indication information are contemplated.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to performing beam failure recovery during an inter-cell connection involving a UE in communication with one or more base stations in a cellular communication system. In various embodiments, a user equipment determines one or more beam failures by monitoring one or more reference signals transmitted by one or more base stations, where the UE is connected to the one or more base stations. The UE further performs candidate beam detection by monitoring at least one candidate reference signal that is transmitted by one or more candidate base stations, where at least one candidate base station (a first candidate base station) is different from the one or more base stations to which the UE was previously communicating. The UE selects the first candidate base station based on the candidate beam detection, and transmits a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) message to the first candidate base station based on the selection.

    摘要: Uplink transmissions of a mobile device (UE) may be improved in a number of ways. Uplink Transmission Time Interval (TTI) bundling, including both Type-A and Type B PUSCH repetitions, may be implemented with variable TTI bundle sizing. The TTI bundle size may be determined by a base station and communicated to the UE explicitly, or may be determined by the UE implicitly, based on an indicated repetition number and frequency hopping number. The UE may also report frequency hopping (FH) assist information to the base station for use by the base station to more efficiently configure FH for the uplink transmissions. Finally, the UE may use (or maintain) the same transmission power, for each TTI transmit occasion of the same TTI bundle in order to improve (cross-slot) channel estimation accuracy. Power allocation may be prioritized to ensure that at the same time a total power for the uplink transmissions of the UE does not exceed a specified threshold.
