摘要: A combustion staging system is provided for fuel injectors of a multi-stage combustor of a gas turbine engine. The system has a splitting unit which receives a metered total fuel flow and controllably splits the metered total fuel flow into out-going pilot and mains fuel flows to perform pilot-only and pilot-and-mains staging control of the combustor. The system further has pilot and mains fuel manifolds which respectively receive the pilot and mains fuel flows. The system further has a plurality of mains flow scheduling valves which distribute the mains fuel flow from the mains fuel manifold to mains discharge orifices of respective injectors of the combustor. The system further has servo line which extends to the mains flow scheduling valves, the servo line being controllably fillable with pressurised fuel to change the pressure in the servo line relative to the pressure in the mains fuel manifold. Each mains flow scheduling valve has a chamber containing a movable piston, the chamber to a mains side of the piston being fed by the mains fuel manifold, and the chamber to a servo side of the piston being fed by the servo line. The piston has an open pilot-and-mains position which allows flow out of the mains side of the chamber to the mains discharge orifice of the respective injector. The piston is biased towards a closed pilot-only position which prevents flow out of the mains side of the chamber to the mains discharge orifice of the respective injector. The piston is movable to the closed position under an increase in pressure in the servo line relative to the mains fuel manifold.

A heat source communicating with the open end of the heating passage to heat the heating passage, the heat conducting fluid and the liquid-phase fuel within the heating core to vaporize the liquid-phase fuel within the heating core.

摘要: A heating apparatus using liquefied gas includes: a combustion unit where the liquefied gas is combusted in a vaporized state; a vaporization unit providing a vaporization space in which the liquefied gas supplied from a fuel receiving unit receiving the liquefied gas is vaporized and thermally separated from the combustion unit; and a thermoelectric element unit including a high-temperature input unit maintaining a high-temperature state by the combustion unit and a low-temperature input unit maintaining a relatively lower temperature than the high-temperature input unit by the liquefied gas vaporized in the vaporization unit and generating power by using a temperature difference between the high-temperature input unit and the low-temperature input unit, and the vaporization unit maintains a low-temperature state by using vaporization of the liquefied gas and is thermally separated from the combustion unit so as to prevent a temperature from rising by the combustion unit to increase power generation efficiency of the thermoelectric element unit.

To prevent the valve (11) from being kept open too long after the voltage supply at the input (20) has been switched off, a switch-off device (34) is provided, which, after elimination of the voltage at the input (20), cuts off the energy flow from the voltage buffer device (24) to the electric motor (12).

摘要: A gas-fired burner adapted for use on a liquid fuel. A method for essentially smokeless start-up and steady state operation of a gas-fired burner on a liquid fuel. The apparatus integrates a catalytic liquid fuel reformer with a flame burner designed for operation on a gaseous fuel of high Wobbe Index, e.g., natural gas. The method involves reacting a mixture of a liquid fuel and oxidant in a catalytic reformer to obtain a gaseous reformate having a low Wobbe Index; and thereafter combusting the gaseous reformate, optionally augmented with liquid co-fuel and oxidant, in the gas-fired burner under diffusion flame conditions. The invention allows commercial gas-fired appliances to be operated on a liquid fuel, thereby offering advantages in logistics and camp operations.

摘要: A method for preheating a beater mill is provided. The method includes: rotating a beater wheel disposed within the beater mill to facilitate circulation of a gas stream between the beater mill and a furnace fluidly connected to each other via both a pulverized fuel conduit and a flue gas recirculation conduit; generating a burner gas via a burner disposed within the flue gas recirculation conduit such that the burner gas joins and heats the gas stream circulating through the beater mill and the furnace; and adjusting at least one of an air supply and a fuel supply to the burner via a controller based at least in part on one of a temperature of the gas stream at an entrance of the beater mill, a temperature of the gas stream at an exit of the beater mill, and an oxygen level within the beater mill.
