Abstract: One example embodiment provides a lighting device. The lighting device includes a lighting component, at least one coil, and a driving circuit. The lighting component connects with a movable magnet to project light on a flame sheet from different positions. The coil is disposed adjacent to the movable magnet to apply a magnetic force to move the movable magnet in response to a driving current in the coil. The driving circuit connects with the coil and the lighting component to provide the driving current according to a characteristic parameter of an electronic signal converted from an audio signal. The characteristic parameter includes one or more of an amplitude, a frequency and an envelope of the electronic signal. The lighting component moves with a speed and a direction controlled by the audio signal.

Abstract: A flame simulation method including: identifying, by a computing device, a maximum brightness level value and a primary event generation level; setting, in response to determining that a first event occurred based on the primary event generation level, a secondary event generation level; adjusting the secondary event generation level towards a baseline secondary event generation level; adjusting a current brightness value of a lighting element of a flame simulation apparatus towards the maximum brightness level value; setting, in response to determining that a second event occurred based on the secondary event generation level, the current brightness level value of the lighting element to a value less than the maximum brightness level; and controlling, by the computing device, a brightness level of the lighting element to correspond to the current brightness level value of the lighting element.

Abstract: A flameless candle includes: a candle body forming an interior region, wherein the candle body includes an upper surface and an aperture in the upper surface; a light source positioned in the interior region of the candle body; a force-inducing portion configured to alternatively induce a first mechanical force and a second mechanical force; and a projection screen. The projection screen is configured to receive the first mechanical force and responsively move to a first position and receive the second mechanical force and responsively move to a second position. When the projection screen is moved to the second position, the light source is automatically energized such that a light is emitted onto the projection screen. When the projection screen is moved to the first position, the light source is automatically de-energized such that the light is not emitted.

Abstract: The invention relates to the field of illumination technology and provides a simulated candle tip, which comprises a light source arranged in the flame base such that a light emitted by the light source can be projected through the reflecting chamber of the flame cover, to simulate real flames. By controlling the power on/off of the electromagnetic coil and the direction of current, attracting and repelling forces can be generated between the electromagnetic coil and the magnet, to enable the flame holder to perform regular swing motion in forward, backward, left and right directions. In this way, both the light source disposed at the upper end of the flame holder and the flame cover can perform swing motion along with the flame holder, to simulate flickering effect of real burning flames. In such case, a stable swing motion can be realized, and it is easy to control.

Abstract: A flame simulating assembly is provided with a reflected flickering light that includes only one light source. Light from the light source passes through a rotating flicker element onto an angled reflector, or mirror, that reflects light up onto a simulated fuel bed and the some of the light is reflected off of the flicker elements towards a flame screen to create a simulated flame. The clipping flicker elements creates a fluttering light effect due to the flicker elements “intermittently dipping” into the light path. This fluctuating light is reflected onto the logs and ember bed in front and creates a dancing effect, which simulates glowing embers.

A variety of drive mechanisms could be disposed within the body of the device that can cause movement of the flame element with respect to the housing. The flame element can be coupled to a housing or mounting bracket of the device using various components to suspend the flame element within the housing.
