    Abstract: System, method, and non-transitory machine-readable media to facilitate adaptive monitoring and authentication control for a premises on which a raised structure is located are disclosed. First sensor-based data received from first sensors may be processed, consequent to the first sensors detecting phenomena on or around a raised structure. A particularized specification of recognized patterns mapped to a first location may be adaptively developed, the particularized specification of the recognized patterns including recognized patterns of sensor input from the first sensors. Second sensor-based data that is based on the first sensors may be processed. A mismatch of the second sensor-based data with respect to the particularized specification of the recognized patterns mapped to the first location may be detected. Activation adjustments in operation of one or both of the first sensors and second sensors may be selectively caused, and subsequent sensor-based data may be collected based on the activation adjustment.

    Abstract: A system for monitoring strain on a musculoskeletal element of a patient having an injury at an injury location, arranged to perform monitoring at least once a week, over a period of at least 12 weeks, or at least 12 times, the system comparing: an implantable load-bearing fixation and sensing device comprising: an implantable reinforcement structure; a deformation sensing arrangement physically coupled to the reinforcement structure to be at least partially implanted in the patient, the deformation sensing arrangement for sensing deformation of the implantable reinforcement structure; a power supply arrangement arranged to provide power to the deformation sensing arrangement; a short-range wireless transceiver arranged to communicate digital data using a first protocol; and a processor arranged to control the power supply arrangement to power the deformation sensing arrangement selectively, to obtain a measure indicative of deformation associated with stress or movement in the vicinity of the injury location, to communicate via the short range wireless transceiver to an external user device, to receive a first signal to trigger powering the deformation sensing arrangement and to transmit a second signal based on said measure to the external user device; a user device comprising: a first communication interface configured when positioned externally of the patient to send the first signal to trigger the processor to power the distributed strain sensing arrangement and obtain the measure indicative of deformation in the vicinity of the injury location, and to receive the second signal using the first protocol; a second communication interface configured to communicate measurement data based on the second signal to a remote server; and an arrangement for triggering a measurement correlated with the patient adopting a predetermined or known pose with respect to the injury location.

    Abstract: The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for sensor calibration. A request is received from an ego vehicle in motion for assistance in collaborative calibration, when the ego vehicle determines that a sensor deployed thereon needs to be calibrated. The request includes at least one of a first position of the ego vehicle and a first configuration of the sensor with respect to the ego vehicle. An assisting vehicle is identified based on the first position, the first configuration, and a second position associated with the assisting vehicle and an assistance plan is generated in response to the request indicative of the assisting vehicle to travel to the ego vehicle to facilitate the calibration of the sensor by collaborating with the moving ego vehicle. Such generated assistance plan is then sent out to initiate the collaborative calibration.

    Abstract: An asset management system includes an asset management network that connects various types of refrigeration appliances to an asset manager. At the device layer, IOT devices are connected to the refrigeration appliances and have edge compute capability, including a backup power management function, and a modem for network communication. IOT device ports directly integrate with sensors, switches, and/or serial data controllers of refrigeration appliances. Push notification alarms are initiated on the edge of the network by IOT devices. The network tags operating data by appliance serial, and the asset manager stores the data using serial numbers as primary keys. The asset manager streams data from numerous appliances and uses event driven processing to promptly respond to edge alarms. The operating data keyed by serial number is enriched with proprietary data organized by appliance type and is used to develop new predictive models by appliance type.
