Abstract:
Grills configured with adjustable and moveable radiant barriers may include a body, a lid, a cooking grate, a combustion space within the body and two plates making up part of the adjustable and moveable radiant barriers. The first plate may include openings through which radiant heat may pass and the second plate may have similar openings. The lid and the body may form a cooking enclosure with the interior cooking grate being substantially parallel to both the first plate and the second plate. The two plates may be configured to move relative to one another such that the openings may alternatingly align and offset creating an adjustable rate of transmission of thermal radiation between the combustion space and the cooking grate.
Abstract:
A grill accessory creates a steaming chamber on a grill that has a heat source and a rack of spaced-apart bars over the heat source. The grill accessory includes a cover configured that covers a food item and forms a steaming region below the cover. The cover operates in connection with a vapor generator that receives and holds fluid beneath the cover. The vapor generator has at least one vent opening to release steam into the steaming chamber. The grill accessory is configured so that it can rest upon the grill rack of spaced-apart bars, and so that the vapor generator transmits heat to the fluid in the vapor generator to convert the fluid to steam. The vapor generator releases the steam through the vent opening(s) into the steaming region below the cover. The steam can help melt toppings and/or introduce moisture into food items cooked on the grill.

Abstract:
A fire starter for use with a grill (G) for cooking foods includes a combustible bag (A) placed on the grill. The bag's contents include charcoal (B) which, when lit, has a relatively long burn time. Interspersed in the bag with the charcoal are wood shavings (S) which have a shorter burn time than the charcoal. In one embodiment, the contents of the bag are poured into the grill. In another embodiment, one end (E1) of the bag is opened and placed on a grate (P). The other, upper end (E2) of the bag is opened and the lower end of the bag ignited. Setting the bag vertically produces a chimney effect that facilitates burning of the bag and its contents. When the bag is ignited, the shavings are also ignited and burn for a period sufficiently long to ignite the charcoal before being consumed.
Abstract:
A barbecue oven that enables operator control of the combustion process through selective control of gas flow through and/or around a hot, oxygenated bed of coals and further enables automatic control of oven temperature through thermostatic regulation of forced draft.
Abstract:
A combustible fuel package is provided for a grill which comprises a generally tubular body defining a cavity therein, this body made of a paper material or other non-hazardous combustible material sufficient in strength to retain a solid fuel such as charcoal briquettes within the cavity for a sufficient amount of time to allow the solid fuel to burn to a sufficient degree for cooking food before the paper body is fully consumed, the body having a plurality of vertically oriented elongated apertures spaced around the exterior of the body.
Abstract:
According to the invention, there is a method for the controlled generation of heat, which is characterized in that charcoal is kept in a glowing state in an essentially closed-off glow chamber which has at least one fine-mesh screen-like wall for radiating the heat, and there is also a heat source with a charcoal bowl, in particular for carrying out the method, which is characterized by an essentially topside cover with a fine-mesh screen and by at least one ventilation orifice, into which issues in a lower region of the charcoal bowl an air supply line to which an air stream generator, in particular a blower, can be connected.
Abstract:
A package made from all combustible materials for containing a fuel source, such as charcoal briquettes, and a fire starter. The package includes a wound paper tube with an interior space where the charcoal briquettes are stored along with the fire starter. The top of the interior space is closed off by a top lid made from combustible material. The fire starter is located underneath the charcoal briquettes at the lower end of the interior space. The fire starter may also function as bottom lid or a separate bottom lid may be employed.
Abstract:
A barbecue push-cart with retractable supports is disclosed. The push-cart includes a cart body and a grilling device, and the cart body comprises an enhancing board, an upright support, a plurality of pegs and locking members, the four corners of the enhancing board are perpendicularly mounted with a connection block protruded from the top of the partition, and the cart body, between two connection blocks is mounted with a lateral wall, and at the connection block and the lateral wall, a shaft peg is inserted through so as to fix the connection block and the side wall, at a position corresponding to the peg, a locking member is inserted so that the support is fixed to a locking hole positioned on the locking member, thereby unlocking or releasing the locking member, the retractable support is capable of being stacked onto the enhancing board.
Abstract:
A disposable, flame-resistant grill liner, having one or more pleated sections to enable the grill liner to be conformed to the interior surfaces of a grill. The grill liner may include a burner slot to enable the grill liner to be used with gas or electric grills.
