    摘要: A water heater device including an inner tank for containing water surrounded in spaced apart relationship by an outer shell. The top end of the water heater device is closed by a cap, and the bottom end of the water heater construction is closed by a floor connected to the outer shell. The inner tank has a concave bottom wall. A collar of thermal insulation material, such as fiber glass is located in the annular space between the inner tank and outer sleeve proximate the bottom end of the water heater device concentric with the annular space such that the collar is in contact with the interior wall surface of the outer shell, in contact with the exterior wall surface of the inner tank, and in contact with the floor of the water heater device. The collar has a radial thickness greater than the radial width of the annular space such that the collar is compressed between the interior wall surface of the outer shell and exterior wall surface of the inner tank sufficiently to tightly seal the interface of the collar and inner wall surface of the outer sleeve, and seal the interface of the collar and exterior wall surface of the inner tank. A disc of thermal insulation material, such as fiber glass, is located within the concavity of the bottom wall of the inner tank. Further, the annular space above the annular collar is filled with an expandable foam thermal insulation material.

    摘要: A water heater construction and method for commercial and residential use includes a generally cylindrical inner water tank surrounded by a layer of insulation. The third component in the assembly is an outer shell which is configured as a hinged combination of two halves or flexible sheet which can be opened radially so that the outer shell may be placed around the layer of insulation and inner tank without requiring any relative axial movement between the outer shell and the inner tank. After the outer shell halves are spread apart and the outer shell is moved into position against the insulation, the hinged halves (or sheet) are then closed towards each other compressing a thickness of insulation and the free ends of the hinged halves are ultimately secured together such that the resultant outer shell is generally cylindrical and generally concentric with the inner tank. The insulation may be joined to the shell prior to assembly of the shell around the tank.

An annular pocket of material is located in the annular space between the inner tank and outer sleeve. An expanded foam thermal insulation fills the pocket and, thusly, the annular space between the inner tank and outer shell. A method of making the water heater construction includes the steps of locating one end of a sleeve of flexible material over the interior wall surface of the outer shell, affixing the sleeve to the interior wall surface of the tank, locating the other end of the sleeve over the exterior wall surface of the water heater tank, affixing the sleeve to the exterior wall surface of the water heater tank, and positioning the outer shell concentrically over the inner tank whereupon a first portion of the length of the sleeve turns inside out to circumferentially overlay a portion of the length of the exterior wall surface of the inner water heater tank, a second portion of the length of the sleeve circumferentially overlays a portion of the length of the interior wall surface of the outer shell, and an intermediate portion of the length of the sleeve folds back over to form a bottom annular wall across the annular space, thereby forming a pocket in the annular space. The annular pocket is filled with an insulation material.

    摘要: A water heater construction including an inner water tank surrounded in spaced apart relationship by an outer shell. A control apparatus, such as a thermostat, is located at the exterior wall surface of the inner tank, and the outer shell has an aperture in alignment with the control apparatus. A collar is located around the control apparatus and is compressed between the inner tank and outer shell. The space between the inner tank and outer shell is filled with a foamed insulation material. The water heater is manufactured by first positioning the collar about the periphery of the control device in abutment with the exterior surface of the inner tank. Next the outer shell is positioned over the inner tank with a concentric space between the inner tank and outer shell, and with the interior surface of the outer shell in abutment with the collar compressing the collar between the inner tank and outer shell. Expandable foam is disposed in the space between the tank and shell and allowed to foam in situ. The collar is fabricated of a thermal insulating material and has a centrally located opening with a peripheral configuration matching that of the control apparatus and sized to fit therearound.

    摘要: A method of making the water heater construction includes the steps of locating a sleeve of insulation material around the exterior wall surface of the inner tank extending from proximate the bottom end of the inner tank and extending upwardly longitudinally thereof a predetermined distance less than the full length of the inner tank, folding the top end of the insulation sleeve back over itself to form an annular cuff at the top end of the sleeve, and positioning the outer shell concentrically over the inner tank whereupon the annular cuff is compressed between the interior wall surface of the outer shell and exterior wall surface of the inner tank. The annular space above the annular cuff of the sleeve is then filled with an expandable foam insulation material which is allowed to foam in situ.

The decoy includes a relatively rigid or semi-flexible head and neck portion adapted to be rotatably supported by a spindle stuck in the earth, and an inflatable bag body adapted to be secured to the head and neck portion for rotation therewith. The decoy may be set up in the field in standing or sentry position and also in bent-over feeding or landing position. The body is imprinted with a non-reflective, mattefinish pattern simulating a species of wild fowl desired to be lured by the decoy. Specific means for mounting the decoy head on a spindle are disclosed, along with specific fastening means for securing the body. Preferably the spindle has some springiness or slight flexibility.

    摘要: A liquid level indicator for providing a visual indication when the level of liquid contained in a movably mounted tank is at or above a predetermined level, disclosed in conjunction with door-mounted rinse aid dispenser tanks for dishwashers, and includes an indicator knob having a stem portion acting as a closure for the tank filler opening accessible from the inside of the dishwasher door. A viewing chamber having a sight window is located in the end of the indicator knob with a feed reservoir arrangement causing liquid within the tank to flow by gravity into the viewing chamber when the door is closed, and a portion of the liquid being retained there upon opening of the dishwasher door, providing a visual indication that the level within the tank is at or above the predetermined level. Upon decline of the liquid level below the predetermined level, further flow into the viewing chamber no longer occurs and liquid in the viewing chamber is successively decreased by the return to the tank of liquid by successive door openings and closings to indicate the approach of a tank empty condition. Several variations of masking panels are disclosed cooperating with the sight window to provide a full and empty indication in conjunction with the presence and absence of liquid within the viewing chamber.
