Abstract: A system and method for manufacturing a physical model of a dental structure wherein the physical model is configured to allow a dental analog to be inserted into the physical model. A virtual model of the dental structure is provided including a virtual implant spatial disposition with respect to the virtual model corresponding to a physical implant spatial disposition of the dental implant. Using the virtual model, a physical model corresponding to the virtual model is manufactured, the physical model being provided with a physical analog corresponding to the virtual analog. The physical analog installation structure is configured for enabling a dental analog, corresponding to the dental implant, to be inserted. In the installed position, the dental analog has an analog spatial disposition with respect to the physical model corresponding to the physical disposition of the dental implant with respect to the physical dental structure.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and apparatus for positioning a patient's mandible in response to sleep apnea status are provided herein. In one aspect, a system for monitoring and treating sleep apnea in a patient comprises one or more sensors configured to monitor the patient for symptoms associated with sleep apnea; an intraoral appliance worn by the patient, one or more processors, and memory comprising instructions executable by the one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to: receive a set of sensor data from the one or more sensors, detect, using a machine learning algorithm, onset of a sleep apnea event based on the set of sensor data, and transmit a control signal to the intraoral appliance to cause the intraoral appliance to displace a lower jaw of the patient from a first position to a second position in order to treat the sleep apnea event.

Abstract: Releasable and removable palatal expander apparatuses for expanding a patient's palate (“palatal expanders”) and methods of using and making them. These releasable palatal expanders are adapted for ease in removal by the patient or caregiver, and may include a breach region configured to predictably bend or break when a pulling force is applied. The palatal expander apparatuses described herein may include one or more locks for locking the palatal expander onto the patient's teeth. The lock(s) may be unlocked to release the palatal expander from the teeth. A lock may include a control for manually unlocking the lock. Unlocking the locks may allow the palatal expander to automatically disengage from the patient's teeth.

Abstract: Dental attachment system and methods. A template body may be configured to fit over a patient's dentition and include a dental attachment. The attachment may include an attachment body including an affixing surface configured to interface with a light curable adhesive coating for bonding the dental attachment to a tooth. The attachment body may include an engagement surface configured to engage with a dental appliance. A release layer may cover the engagement surface. The system may include one or more radiation sources configured to emit a first range of wavelengths of radiation for curing the light curable adhesive coating of the dental attachment. The one or more radiation sources may be configured to emit a second range of wavelengths of radiation for degrading the release layer such that the release layer can be removed from the dental attachment to expose the engagement surface.
