Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information indicating at least one of a first set of peak reduction tones (PRTs) for uplink communication, or a second set of PRTs for downlink communication, for use in a full-duplex communication mode. The first set of PRTs and the second set of PRTs may share at least one PRT. The UE may transmit, to the base station, or receive, from the base station, at least one signal based at least in part on the at least one of the first set of PRTs or the second set of PRTs. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a resource allocation indicating a plurality of transmission tones comprising a subset of data tones of a plurality of data tones and a subset of peak reduction tones (PRTs) of a plurality of PRTs, wherein the resource allocation indicates a plurality of data tone locations and a plurality of PRT locations within a particular bandwidth, wherein a subset of PRT locations of the plurality of PRT locations are arranged relative to a subset of data tone locations of the plurality of data tone locations according to a PRT sequence corresponding to a set of allocated frequency resources; and transmit a data transmission using a waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink payload in a wireless communications system. The UE may identify a set of sequences configured for conveying a payload including a set of bits, where each sequence of the set of sequences is orthogonal to each other sequence of the set of sequences. The UE may select a first sequence from the set of sequences based on a mapping between the set of sequences and payload values corresponding to the set of bits. The UE may transmit the payload including the set of bits using the first sequence.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE), such as a full-duplex UE, may receive a downlink transmission from a first transmit-receive point (TRP) in a full-duplex multi-TRP configuration. The UE may perform an uplink transmission to a second TRP in the full-duplex multi-TRP configuration based at least in part on a timing advance adjustment associated with the uplink transmission. The UE may apply the timing advance adjustment based at least in part on an indication received from a base station. The indication may be to set a timing advance offset to a value that satisfies a threshold value based at least in part on the downlink transmission and the uplink transmission being associated with two different TRPs. The downlink transmission and the uplink transmission may not be separated by a guard symbol when the downlink transmission and the uplink transmission are associated with the two different TRPs, which may improve a resource utilization.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve the efficiency and performance of the tone reservation PAPR reduction technique by allocating peak reduction tone based at least in part on a channel condition, such as based on the signal to noise ratio of the channel. In some aspects, a transmitting device measures a signal to noise ratio for a plurality of tones within a frequency resource. The transmitting device selects a location of one or more reserved tones (e.g., peak reduction tones) among one or more tones based at least in part on an SNR for one or more tones. The transmitting device transmits data to a receiving device in a subset of the plurality of tones that does not include the one or more peak reduction tones. Other aspects and features are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for uplink carrier selection for uplink random access channel (RACH) transmissions in a flexible cell configuration in a wireless communication system. A user equipment (UE) in a flexible cell selects at least one carrier for transmitting one or more uplink RACH transmissions to a base station. In aspects, the base station transmits an indication to the UE indicating which carrier the UE is to select for transmitting the one or more uplink RACH transmission. In aspects, the UE determines the carrier to transmit the one or more uplink RACH transmissions to the base station based on a comparison of reference signal measurements to predetermined thresholds. In these aspects, based on whether the measurements exceed the predetermined thresholds or not, the UE selects a carrier for transmitting the one or more uplink RACH transmission to the base station.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a first node (e.g., a UE or a BS) performs a channel response measurement on a reference signal for positioning (e.g., UL reference signal such as SRS for positioning, or a DL PRS). The first node determines, for each of a plurality of peaks detected within the channel response measurement, peak-specific information comprising at least peak magnitude data that is based on a peak magnitude relative to a reference value. The first node reports the peak-specific information for the plurality of peaks to a second node (e.g., a BS, UE, or LMF). The second node receives the peak-specific information, and determines a positioning estimate for a UE based on the peak-specific information.

A base station may associate a first and second port with a set of antenna elements based on a first and second linear precoding vector. The base station may generate coefficients indicating a first combination and a second combination of a first data set for a first user equipment (UE) and a second data set for a second UE. The base station may apply the first and second linear precoding vectors to the first and second combinations, respectively, transmit a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and a second DMRS using a first comb corresponding to the first and second ports, and transmit at least a third DMRS indicating the coefficients using a second comb. The UEs may extract data from the precoded combinations by applying the coefficients and estimating channels associated with the first and second DMRS.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for enabling at least one opportunity to transmit mission critical (MiCr) data and at least one opportunity to receive MiCr data in a time division duplex (TDD) subframe during a single transmission time interval (TTI). The single TTI may be no greater than 500 microseconds. The TDD subframe may be a downlink (DL)-centric TDD subframe or an uplink (UL)-centric TDD subframe. How much of the TDD subframe is configured for the at least one opportunity to transmit the MiCr data and how much of the TDD subframe is configured for the at least one opportunity to receive the MiCr data may be adjusted based on one or more characteristics of the MiCr data. The MiCr data may have a low latency requirement, a high priority requirement, and/or a high reliability requirement. Various other aspects are provided throughout the present disclosure.
