Abstract: A movement-synchronized wellbore inspection system and a movement-synchronization control method thereof are disclosed. The wellbore inspection system comprises a rope-climbing robot, a wire rope, a ground wire rope moving device, a ground wire rope moving track, an underground wire rope moving device, an underground wire rope moving track, an inertial sensor and a control device. An upper end of the wire rope is connected to the ground wire rope moving device, and an lower end of the wire rope passes through the rope-climbing robot and is then connected to the underground wire rope moving device. The control device controls the underground and ground wire rope moving devices to move in synchronization, and then the inertial sensor carried on the rope-climbing robot detects posture data of the wire rope and transmits the data to the control device.

Abstract: A water heater includes a tank assembly that defines an insulation cavity between an inner storage tank and an outer jacket. The water heater includes a bottom pad that supports the tank assembly thereon. The bottom pad is disposed in a bottom pan. Gaskets are disposed between the bottom pad and the bottom pan of the water heater. The bottom pad and at least one of the gaskets include apertures that are configured to internally route a leak sensor assembly of the water heater from the bottom pan to a controller of the water heater through the insulation cavity while preventing a leak of insulation material from the insulation cavity to the bottom pan. The water heater also includes a mounting bracket that is coupled to the inner storage tank to securely hold and route a portion of the leak sensor assembly disposed in the insulation cavity to the controller.

Abstract: A method and a system for classifying at least one individual gas compound from a plurality of leaked gases in a specified field of view are provided herein. The method may include the following steps: generating, by a cryogenically cooled detector and using a first of at least n filters, multiple spectral band images of the specified view in spectral bands coinciding with said leaking gases spectral bands in which said leaking gases emit and absorb electromagnetic radiation; calculating from the images, the relative absorption response of said gases in each of said filters, respectively; calculating a set of predetermined coefficients; normalizing said relative absorption responses to the sum of relative responses of said filters; and calculating the weighted average molecular mass of said gas compound of said leaking gases.

Abstract: A device is produced as a small sphere with neutral buoyancy, within which there is, at least, one hydrophone that is connected to a signal processor, which stores the information on a memory card and that is powered by at least one battery. This signal processor has a clock module, through which the sailing time elapsed for each audio signal received by the hydrophone is recorded in the memory. Therefore, based on the sailing time, the exact position of the detected anomalies or leaks can be ascertained. The device is complemented by a series of external synchronisation systems, laid out every certain distance, by which the position error that could be accumulated by the device is neutralised. Thus, a simple device is attained, which is cheap, solid, durable and highly effective.

Abstract: A method is described for detecting a leakage during the operation of a braking system. A braking intention signal characterizing a braking intention is generated by actuating a final control system of an actuating circuit; a setpoint braking pressure required in an active circuit is ascertained based on the braking intention signal; an actual braking pressure in the active circuit is set according to the setpoint braking pressure with the aid of a pressure generation unit by moving a displacement piston to actuate a wheel brake coupled to the active circuit; and a pressure modulation is carried out. The pressure modulation includes setting the actual braking pressure in the active circuit to a value greater than the setpoint braking pressure, and lowering the actual braking pressure until the setpoint braking pressure is reached by moving the displacement piston at a predetermined piston speed. Furthermore, a chronological pressure gradient is ascertained, as the actual braking pressure is being lowered, during the pressure modulation, and a leakage of the active circuit is detected based on the ascertained pressure gradient when the pressure gradient is outside a range predetermined for the piston speed.
