    Abstract: The invention relates to a rifle comprising a barrel, a stock, a bipod and bipod housing formed within the stock of the rifle and in which one or more legs of the bipod may be housed when the bipod is in a storage position. The forestock may comprise a body and a tip. The tip may be configured to support one or more legs of the bipod and may also be configured to hinge away from the body to cause the legs to project toward a supporting surface when the bipod is in an operational position.

    Abstract: A firearm accessory mount is an apparatus that maximizes the mounting surfaces on a firearm while allowing the interchangeability of a barrel onto and off of the firearm. The apparatus includes a left tactical rail, a right tactical rail, a gas-cylinder clamp, an upper tactical rail, and an elongated fixture with a transversal arc-shaped cross section. The left tactical rail, the right tactical rail, and the upper tactical rail allows for a variety of firearm accessories to mount onto the apparatus. The gas-cylinder clamp attaches the apparatus onto the gas cylinder. The elongated fixture braces the barrel while attached to the firearm. The arc-shaped cross-section of the elongated fixture allows the barrel to be replaced or a new barrel to be attached without altering the position and orientation of the firearm. The apparatus further includes a lower tactical rail that allows the mounting of firearm accessories beneath the gas cylinder.

    Abstract: A firearm suppressor cover assembly and method of protecting a user while firing a weapon are disclosed. The cover assembly has an insulating cover assembly, a one or more clamps or other firearm suppressor attachment means, one or more standoffs per clamp, and an optional heat shield. The standoffs are coupled to the one or more clamps and in contact with the insulating cover assembly thereby forming an air gap between the suppressor and the insulating cover assembly. The heat shield may be arranged within the air gap.

    Abstract: A handguard assembly for a firearm includes a handguard with an internal clamping area. A single-piece index block includes a securing portion for connecting to the handguard and an indexing extension for engaging an indexing feature on the upper receiver of the firearm. The handguard includes internal ribs that provide discrete clamping surfaces for engaging a barrel nut of the firearm. Connecting the index block to the handguard generates a continuous clamping action in the handguard which acts through the ribs to apply a radially-directed circumferentially-applied clamping force on a barrel nut through the discrete clamping surfaces. The indexing feature of the index block engages an indexing feature of the upper receiver to ensure proper alignment of the handguard and the upper receiver.
