Abstract: A mobile chipper shredder includes a removable fin plate positioned within the rotor chamber. The removable fin plate includes a main body that has an arcuate shape and a plurality of fins that extend toward a rotor assembly from the main body. The fins are spaced on the main body so as to not interfere with paths of travel of a plurality free-swinging shredding hammers of the rotor assembly within the rotor chamber. The plurality of fins radially overlap at least one path of travel of the plurality of free-swinging shredding hammers.

Abstract: A device for processing thermoplastic plastic includes a storage container for receiving pieces of plastic particles or a conveying line for conveying the pieces of plastic particles, and a conveying screw following the storage container/the conveying line at a transfer opening. The device also includes an extruder following the conveying screw and an air outlet arranged opposite the transfer opening and directed at this opening. In a method for operating the device, an air stream is aligned with the transfer opening. The strength and/or the direction of the air stream is adjusted or controlled as a function of a load on the extruder.

Abstract: Detonable devices such as charged air bag inflators are fed to a shred tower at a controlled feed rate via a feed valve. Water spray and/or water baths in the shred tower prevent sparking and begin to solubilize chemicals while the inflators are fed to primary and optional secondary shredders respectively performing course and fine shreds. A sump receives the shredded material which continues solubilize and separate chemicals from metal. A conveyor lifts solids from the sump. Dewatered solids are fed to a receiving box for metal scrap recycling.

Abstract: A cutting blade assembly establishes a bidirectional and/or multifaceted scissor-type cutting action to efficiently and effectively process various types of debris encountered by the cutting blade assembly. The assembly includes a cutting plate and a cutting hub configured for relative rotation. A cutting slot is formed in the cutting plate and intersects the axial face to define a cutting edge at the intersection of the cutting slot and the axial face. The cutting hub has a cutting arm positioned adjacent to the axial face. When the cutting plate and the cutting hub undergo relative rotation, the cutting arm passes adjacent to the cutting edge to perform a scissor-type cutting action.

Abstract: A disc chipper for crushing lumpy feed material. The disc chipper has a crushing rotor driven by a drive unit, rotating about an axle, including a rotor shaft and a chipping disc connected in a rotationally fixed manner with the rotor shaft. The chipper disc includes chipping knives, which are transversely aligned in the disc plane to the rotational direction and which cooperate with stationary counter knives for the comminution of the feed material. The drive unit include a primary drive and a secondary drive, which drive the crushing rotor via a transmission, wherein the primary drive is in active operative connection with the crushing rotor during the crushing operation, and the secondary drive during the acceleration process or when readjusting the crushing rotor for purposes of maintenance and repair.
