    摘要: The pump storage grinder employs a tank having a sewage inlet and a removable top cover supporting a depending sealed housing having a motor and motor controls for driving a grinder or comminutor and pump externally of the chamber by means of a common motor shaft. The chamber is formed by a control housing integral with the cover, a tube and pump head, all held together by means of tension bolts secured between the pump head and cover. The motor shaft extends through the pump head to drive a resilient helical pump and a comminutor impeller disc with depending blades that cooperate with a comminutor ring held between a comminutor inlet shroud and a pump housing secured to the pump head. A pump discharge chamber is provided in the head with a one-way valved passage leading to a discharge conduit extending through the cover. The level responsive motor control is provided with a liquid pressure sensing tube extending through the chamber in communication with a depending pipe secured to the pump head and housing.

    摘要: An impact crusher having impeller shoes which are triangular in shape for operation in either forward or reverse directions of rotation without shifting their positions. The shoes are maintained in place by attaching structure which holds the impeller shoes without applying a compressive clamping force thereon. The impeller shoes have dished impelling surfaces for improved efficiency. The crusher includes a central feeding disc having a replaceable ring portion to renew the disc without replacing the entire feeding assembly.

    摘要: The disclosed depithing apparatus separates fibrous vegetable materials into useful fiber and discardable pith portions for papermaking or the like. The apparatus is vertically constructed to provide gravity feed therethrough for the vegetable materials. Rotating hammers projecting from a rotor break up the materials and centrifugally force the pith through a surrounding screening member. Separate vertically oriented discharge chutes below the rotor convey the separated fiber and pith out of the apparatus, and a baffle is provided to direct the pith into its respective discharge chutes to prevent clogging. Separate embodiments of the apparatus are shown for use in existing sites having limited headroom or insufficient room for full length discharge chutes.

    摘要: A comminuter for reducing articles to small particles which has an upright housing with vertically spaced intake and discharge openings. A strong, rigid spider assembly comprised of a plurality of interconnected bars having tooth sides are secured to the interior of the housing between the openings. Rotatable cutting blades having sharp leading edges facing the toothed spider-blade sides are mounted below the spider assembly and include scraping members that move over the bottom of the housing and remove particles on the bottom to the discharge opening. The blades are driven via V-belts by a movably mounted motor which permits the tensioning and release of the V-belts A spray pipe is mounted to the op of the housing for the introduction of water to facilitate the removal of comminuted particles into the housing interior.
