Abstract: A lateral rotation apparatus includes a first frame, a second frame, and a third frame that are independently rotatable. The first frame, the second frame, and the third frame support a person support surface having head, torso, and leg segments. A first pair of legs is positioned below the first frame to rotate a head segment to a head tilt angle in the range of about 7 to about 30 degrees relative to a horizontal support plane. A second pair of legs is positioned below the second frame to rotate a torso segment to a torso tilt angle that is within a range of about 5 degrees to about 10 degrees less than the head tilt angle.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method of mounting an inflatable headboard assembly to a horizontal plane (e.g., a bed) without using a fixed mechanical fastening. The headboard assembly may assume various shapes, sizes, and/or styles while affording easy assembly and storage. The inflatable headboard assembly does not require permanent modification to its surrounding area. Rather, the inflatable headboard assembly is simply inflated to various heights that conform to the existing dimensions of the surrounding environment. The inflatable headboard assembly can be mounted to various locations of a bed without requiring additional equipment, and deflated for compact storage. The inflatable headboard assembly may include an inflatable footboard counterpart similar to the inflatable headboard assembly but smaller in scale. In addition, the inflatable headboard assembly may include lights for illuminating portions of the headboard, and/or visual markers for receiving augmented reality overlay.

Abstract: A reversible bed frame with a horizontal and an inclined position is disclosed herein. Its angular disposition is transformed from horizontal to inclined by turning it upside down. The bed frame preferably comprises multiple load-bearing elements (140) that are connected to and between two side rails (110) thus providing a top surface (150) and a bottom surface (210) of rectangular shape, with both surfaces able to withstand a load. Elevating members (120, 130) provide elevation for both surfaces. In accordance with one embodiment, the elevating members are of varying height so that the top surface is horizontal when facing upwards and the bottom surface is inclined when facing upwards. In accordance with another embodiment, different measurements and positioning of the load-bearing elements provide a horizontal top surface and an inclined bottom surface.

Through the cooperation of the sliding device and the rotation device, a staff is able to change the bed sheet only by standing in one position, which greatly saves energy and time of the staff. After changing the bed sheet every time, the mattress is rotated exactly 180 degrees, which is able to extend the life of the mattress.

Abstract: A metal seat stretcher that is configured for easy mounting to the seat box, and furniture items including the same. The disclosed stretcher may be mounted in such a way so as not be directly mounted to the forward or rearward rails, thus preserving the strength and integrity of the rails by not subjecting them to perforation from a multitude of staples. Instead, the front end of the metal seat stretcher mounts to a clip rail that is secured to the inside of the front rail, and back end of the stretcher is secured to a seat back upright. In some embodiments, securing of the disclosed seat stretcher is done with a single screw at the front end and a single self-tapping bolt at the back end (though more fasteners may also be utilized). This provides for rapid and easy assembly of the furniture item.

Abstract: A frame unit includes first and second bars spaced apart from each other, third bars disposed between the first and second bars, and connectors removably connecting the third bars with the first and second bars. A connector includes a body fixedly connected with the first or second bar, a casing defining an interior to receive an end of a third bar, and a slot allowing insertion of the end of the third bar into the casing. The interior defined by the casing has narrow and wide sides corresponding to the narrow and wide sides of the end of the third bar. As such, when the end of the third bar is inserted into the casing, the end of the third bar is prevented from any translational movement within the casing. The connectors allow quick and easy connection of bars, and in the meantime enhance the stability of the frame unit.
