摘要： Many different so-called "wall systems" as are often used in offices and other locations employ perforate, vertically extending, spaced, parallel standards in supporting one or more objects through the use of hooks extending through perforations in the standards. Any such system can be improved by utilizing sloping surfaces on an object held by the standards and a wedging member associated with each sloped surface. When an object with such a surface is in place on a standard so that the hooks employed extend through openings in the standard the wedging member associated with the surface is moved so as to be wedged between the sloped surface with which it is associated and the standard so as to move the object generally outwardly from the standard in order to pull the hooks firmly in contact with the interior of the standard. This results in the object being held firmly relative to the standard employed.

摘要： A frame construction adapted for use in framing panels and forming parallelepiped configurations. The frame construction includes tubular panel edging elements, each defining a pair of opposed arcuate leg portions and interconnecting bight portions, with the legs defining spaced inturned distal ends cooperatively defining a panel edge receiving space. The edging elements are connected by means of corner connectors which connect the ends of a pair of the edging elements. The corner connectors include a body portion defining first and second perpendicularly related portions, a first pair of tongues extending in spaced parallel relationship from the first portion, with each tongue thereof having a segmentally cylindrical outer surface adapted to frictionally engage the arcuate leg portions of the edging elements. Each tongue further defines a planar inner surface adapted to frictionally engage one of the leg distal ends of the edging element and maintain the leg distal ends against spreading apart and to provide an improved effective support of the panel edges.

摘要： A shelf has a platform suspended by at least three cords or other flexible suspension means. The upper ends of the cords are gathered in a knot formed with a loop for suspension from a hook. The lower ends of the cords are attached to the platform, two of these cords being attached at, or near, the opposite ends of the side of the platform which, in one use of the shelf, is located near a wall. A slide similar to a bead receives the latter two cords. When the shelf is suspended from a hook located remote from a wall the bead is slid up to the knot and, since the cords are of the same length, the platform is horizontal. If the point of suspension is on or close to a wall, the bead is slid downwards to reduce the straight-line distance between the points of attachment to the platform and the knot. the position of the bead is adjusted so that the platform is horizontal (or at some desired slope).
