摘要： A fastener provides first and second rings interconnected by a neck. The neck has a size such that the lateral portions of both rings extend laterally spacedly beyond the neck. At least one ring defines an orifice of sufficient size to allow passage of two portions of a flexible tension element on which the fastener is to be carried to pass through the orifice without either portion being supported on the other. For use a slackened medial portion of the tension element is folded upon itself to form a loop, the loop end is passed through the first ring, over and about the second ring and about the neck so that the tension element is fastened about the fastener without an end of the tension element having been passed through any fastener orifice.

摘要： The present invention provides a strap tab cap for connecting a strap tab to a knee brace wherein the strap tab cap has a very low profile and can rotate within a limited range. The low profile of the strap tab cap reduces the possibility that the knee brace will catch on a foreign object during physical activity. The rotation of the strap tab cap allows the strap to conform more easily to the shape of the user's leg. The strap tab cap is attached to the knee brace with a rivet that extends through a center hole in the strap tab cap. Two posts extend downward from the strap tab cap into slots in the knee brace for limiting the rotation of the strap tab cap and for containing the strap tab in the channels.

摘要： A belt end fastener comprises a flatted tubular socket, and a plug to be detachably inserted in the socket. The plug has a plate-like tongue, and a ring projecting from a base of the plug, the tongue having a pair of belt-insertion holes Also the plug has a frame around the tongue, and a pair of resilient locking projections for locking engagement with opposite side walls of the socket when the plug is inserted in the socket. In use, one end of a belt of a bag or other article is inserted through the socket and the belt-insertion holes and is then turned over and is tentatively held in such folded form, whereupon the belt together with the plug is inserted into the socket for fastening. For unfastening the belt, the ring is pulled away from the socket while the locking projections are pressed toward each other against their resilience.

摘要： A universal one piece restraint bracket particularly suited for use with wire rope or cable for transverse, longitudinal and combined transverse and longitudinal seismic bracing systems for supporting an object. The bracket is generally L shaped to define a flattened apertured central portion with two wing portions generally at right angles to each other, apertured at their free ends and joined to the flattened central portion, each wing being elevated or upwardly bent away from the plane of the central portion. Aircraft type cables or wire rope connect the bracket to an adjacent support structure with the central portion of the bracket being secured to an object to be supported, whereby the bracing system acts in tension only so as to dampen earthquake loads and forces and thus is not subject to compression loads. A single bracket accommodates a wide variety of seismic bracing, and the bracket is configured for stacking with another bracket where necessary.

摘要： A strap retainer comprising a flexible elongated body having two planar sides and two free ends adapted for closure on to each other. A locking pawl is integrally formed with one free end and comprises a post and a head section forming a free end. A receptacle for the locking pawl is integrally formed with the other free end. The receptacle has top and bottom surfaces that are parallel to the planar sides of the body. There is a cavity in the top surface of the receptacle, having an enlarged section and a narrow section extending through the free end of the receptacle. The enlarged section is longer than the head section of the locking pawl and the narrow section is narrower than the head section of the locking pawl. There is at least one flexible locking tooth in the enlarged section of the cavity that protrudes into the cavity. A shoulder element is arranged on each side of the cavity to define an insertion area in the top surface of the receptacle corresponding to the shape of the locking pawl. Inserting the locking pawl into the cavity through the insertion area depresses the locking tooth, and sliding the locking pawl toward the free end of the receptacle releases the locking tooth and locks the locking pawl in the receptacle.

摘要： The apparatus is a strap retainer with a straight post element and a generally arcuate retainer element molded as a single integral piece thereby forming a D-shaped outline. First ends of said post and arcuate retainer elements are affixed to each other while second ends of the post and arcuate retainer elements include complementary elements of a detent locking element. A first detent locking element includes a stem with a D-shaped cross section supporting a bulbous portion of increased cross section. The second detent locking element includes an aperture assembly with a first generally round aperture sized to receive the bulbous portion and a second aperture of D-shaped cross section sized to receive the stem of similar cross section and dimensions. The first and second apertures communicate by tapered walls which form detent edges on the second aperture. The stem can be slid from the first aperture to the second aperture to be detently locked in place therein.

摘要： The ends of a cable are attached to the seat belt buckle so that a loop of cable projects from the buckle. A mounting bracket comprised of a stamped metal strap is folded into a U-shape and receives the loop of cable. The ends of the metal strap are attached to the vehicle body. A sleeve of ductile metal is swaged over the cable and interposed between the cable and the bracket. The sleeve has a length greater than the width of the bracket so that the sleeve extends beyond the bracket somewhat to prevent the cable from contact with the bracket. The ductile sleeve yields when a load is imposed upon the cable.
