The device is vertically mounted in front of an area to be decorated and looped sections of material is passed from the back of the holder to its front through one or more of the openings or looped over the elongated rod after which the looped sections are fluffed out or draped in front of the holder to provide individualized decorative treatments. The elongated rod is adaptable for passing through hemmed openings of flat panels of sheer material to provide a light filtering function.

摘要： Master carrier for a baton traversing drapery system comprises an elongated hanger adapted to be received in the horizontal gap of the conventional C-shaped type of traverse rod. The hanger element supports beneath the rod a platform having a rim along its outer edge which is inclined relative to the direction of travel. Spaced along the length of the inclined edge of the platform are a plurality of openings into which a drapery hook assembly can be installed and locked, by means of a clamp interacting with the rim of the platform. A pair of identical master carriers can be used to create an overlap in adjacent drapery panels without the necessity for using a projecting arm for this purpose. Attached to the outer face of the upper edge of the drapery is a baton which is attached to the drapery at substantially the point at which the drapery is suspended from the master carrier. Accordingly, when force is applied to the baton to move the drapery, little or no torque is created.

摘要： Apparatus and method for retaining pleats in hanging draperies including an elongated flexible cord having a plurality of elongated resilient members fixedly secured at spaced locations along the cord, each member including a first mating section interconnected by a fold portion to a second mating section and a pointed end extending from one of the mating sections. A pointed end receiver extends from the other of the mating sections in a direction opposite the pointed end whereby the two mating sections are releasably locked together with the pointed end entering the receiver clamping a portion of one of the pleats of the hanging drapery therebetween. In this manner, each resilient member is secured to a pleat thereby retaining the drapery in a hanging position spacing one pleat from another.

The window covering includes an inner fabric panel, an outer fabric panel which overlays the inner panel and which is secured thereto by a series of vertical spaced-apart seams, whereby a series of vertical pockets is formed between the inner and outer panels. A plurality of bowed slats are disposed within the vertical pockets. Each of the slats is separated from the next adjacent slat by one of the vertical seams to allow collapsing of the window covering by folding the seams to form a stack of the vertical pockets.

摘要： An adjustable drapery support assembly comprises a base plate including a web of a solid semi-rigid material which can be penetrated by a sewing needle. The base plate is adapted to be positioned in the opening formed between the opposed sides of a fold in the drapery material which is to be made into a pleat. With the base plate in place, the opposed sides of the fold are sewn or otherwise connected together through the web, thus simultaneously forming a pleat and interlocking the base plate and the drapery material. Along a side edge of the base plate, which protrudes out of the fold to the rear of the drapery, there is provided an adjustable attaching means including a hook assembly which can be attached at any point along the edge of the base plate. The side edges of the base plate are not parallel, but rather taper towards each other in an upward direction. Accordingly, as the position of the hook relative to the base plate is lowered, outwardly tilting or sagging of the unsupported upper edge of the drapery is limited or reduced. In a preferred embodiment, the edge of the side plate to which the hook is attached is not linear but rather concave, thereby further limiting sagging of the upper portion of the drapery.
