摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for adapting a configuration for transmitting or receiving a semi-persistent transmission to minimize self-interference when appropriate and maximize throughput. A first device and a second device may determine whether the semi-persistent transmission overlaps in a time domain with a dynamic transmission. If the semi-persistent transmission overlaps in the time domain with the dynamic transmission, the first device and the second device may use a full-duplex configuration to transmit or receive the semi-persistent transmission. Alternatively, if the semi-persistent transmission fails to overlap in a time domain with a dynamic transmission, the first device and the second device may use a half-duplex configuration to transmit or receive the semi-persistent transmission.

A first device may release an uplink resource associated with a semi-persistent uplink transmission during a portion of a transmission time interval based at least in part on a condition. For example, the first device may determine that a buffer associated with the first device satisfies a buffer threshold (e.g., a threshold amount of temporarily stored uplink data) during a first temporal period. The buffer may temporarily store uplink data associated with the semi-persistent uplink transmission. The first device may, as a result, transmit, to a second device, a feedback message including an indication that the first device skips the semi-persistent uplink transmission based on releasing the uplink resource.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may transmit, to a second device, reference signals using combinations of analog beamforming parameters over multiple cycles. The reference signals may be transmitted for different combinations of transmit beamforming parameters and receive beamforming parameters over different cycles of the multiple cycles. The first device may receive, from the second device over the multiple cycles, a set of reports. Each report may indicate combinations of analog beamforming parameters selected for the analog beamforming parameters at the second device. Each combination of analog beamforming parameters may correspond to different cycles of the multiple cycles. The first device may set, for each radio frequency (RF) chain of a plurality of RF chains associated with the first device, a corresponding combination of analog beamforming parameters, and communicate with the second device via two or more beams based on the setting.

摘要: Disclosed are techniques for beam failure recovery in a wireless communications system. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) detects a beam failure of a first downlink beam received at the UE from a base station, wherein the first downlink beam is a primary downlink beam for a first cell supported by the base station, sends, to the base station, on a supplementary uplink (SUL) beam, a message including an indication of the beam failure and an identification of a second downlink beam to replace the first downlink beam as the primary downlink beam for the first cell, and, based on the base station configuring the second downlink beam as the primary downlink beam for the first cell, establishes an uplink beam for the first cell based on properties of the second downlink beam.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques to improve reliability and robustness for millimeter wave (mmW) systems in fifth generation (5G) wireless communications technology (also referred to as new radio (NR)). Specifically, the present disclosure provides techniques to allow the base station to group a plurality of mmW beams for communication with the user equipment (UE) such that the selected beam(s) for communication are independent and uncorrelated. The selection of beams ensure macro-diversity in that the joint blocking probability of the selected beam(s) may be minimized and the susceptibility to blockage is reduced in comparison to the current systems.

A user equipment (UE) may select a candidate pattern from a set of patterns for reference signals used to track phase error. The UE may transmit an indication of the selected pattern to a base station and receive, from the base station at least in part in response to the transmitted indication of the selected pattern, an indication of a configuration for the reference signals used to track phase error, the configuration indicating a pattern of the set of patterns, a number of reference signal groups, and a number of samples per reference signal group. The UE may receive the reference signals used to track phase error according to the indicated configuration.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Sidelink UEs may be configured with a synchronization reference signal that may be used by the UEs to synchronize time and frequency resources. A first and second UE may perform a beam sweeping procedure to identify transmit and receive beams to use for communications between the UEs. A synchronization reference signal procedure may be initiated and the first UE may receive a sidelink synchronization reference signal from the second UE using the established receive beam. The UEs may align time and frequency resources for communications between the UEs and the UEs may communicate via the sidelink channel based on the time synchronization, frequency synchronization, or both, determined using the sidelink synchronization signal. In some cases, a sidelink UE may receive multiple synchronization reference signals from multiple sidelink UEs simultaneously, where each synchronization reference signal may include a UE identifier.

A user equipment (UE) may be in communication with a first and second transmitting device (e.g., by sidelink communication links). The UE may receive, from the first transmitting device, a first reference signal on a first set of resources. The UE may additionally receive, from the second transmitting device, a second reference signal on a second set of resources that overlap in the time domain with the first set of resources. In some cases, the first and second set of resources may additionally overlap in the frequency domain. The UE may determine synchronization information for time tracking or frequency tracking of sidelink communications with the first and second transmitting devices based on the first and second reference signals. The UE may communicate with the first and second transmitting devices based on the synchronization information for time tracking or frequency tracking.
