Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station (BS), a first signaling communication that configures a plurality of transmit precoder matrix indicator (TPMI) and sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) pairs. The plurality of TPMI and SRI pairs may be for transmitting respective physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications to the BS. The UE may receive, from the BS, a second signaling communication that indicates an update to a TPMI and SRI pair of the plurality of TPMI and SRI pairs. The UE may transmit, to the BS, a PUSCH communication, of the respective PUSCH communications, based at least in part on the update to the TPMI and SRI pair. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for channel state information (CSI) feedback for multiple discrete Fourier transform (DFT) beams on multiple transmission layers. A user equipment (UE) may report a total number of non-zero power DFT beams across all of the transmission layers. The UE may be configured with a total number of leading beams (Ktotal) across all of the transmission layers for which to provide high quantization feedback. When the total number of non-zero DFT beams across all the transmission layers exceeds the configured total number of leading beams across all the transmission layers, the UE may report high-resolution quantization feedback for Ktotal non-zero power precoding coefficients having the highest amplitude coefficients, and may report low-resolution quantization feedback for the remaining non-zero power precoding coefficients. A base station may receive the CSI feedback to determine a precoding matrix.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for radio frequency (RF) sensing. In an aspect, a network entity (e.g., base station or road-side unit) may perform RF sensing in a first mode for sensing a horizontal angle using horizontal multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) radar with vertical beamforming, in which a two-dimensional MIMO antenna array is configured into a plurality of vertical columns, each column comprising a plurality of antenna elements configured to transmit as a phased array, each column transmitting a different orthogonal signal from the other columns. The network entity may perform RF sensing in a second mode for sensing a vertical angle using vertical MIMO radar with horizontal beamforming, in which the MIMO antenna array is configured into a plurality of horizontal rows, each row comprising a plurality of antenna elements configured to transmit as a phased array, each row transmitting a different orthogonal signal from the other rows.

Abstract: A base station may select at least one of one or more 2D beams for at least one first SSB of a plurality of SSBs or one or more 3D beams for at least one second SSB of the plurality of SSBs. A UE may identify a beam type of at least one of one or more 2D beams for at least one first SSB of a plurality of SSBs or one or more 3D beams for at least one second SSB of the plurality of SSBs. The base station may transmit, to the UE, at least one of the at least one first SSB via the one or more 2D beams or the at least one second SSB via the one or more 3D beams.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication, by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving, from a network device, a trigger command initiating a hash-based random access procedure. The trigger command includes a target hash value and one or more rules for selecting preambles. The method also includes selecting, based on the trigger command, one or more random access channel (RACH) occasions (RO) for potential preamble transmission. The method further includes calculating at least one hash value in response to the trigger command based on computational resources of the UE. The method also includes transmitting a preamble on the at least one selected RO based on the at least one hash value and the target hash value.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity (e.g., a base station or reader) may transmit an initial access trigger message (e.g., modulating a continuous wave transmission using amplitude shift keying (ASK)), and the trigger message may include an indication of a type of passive user equipment (PUE) or a PUE use case (e.g., high priority/latency-critical PUEs or low priority/latency non-critical PUEs). A receiving PUE may harvest energy from the initial access trigger message for transmitting an initial access response message including an identifier for the receiving PUE. The receiving PUE may transmit the initial access response message (e.g., on one or more initial access resources) using the harvested energy if the trigger message indicates the PUE's type of PUE or PUE use case. In some examples, the receiving PUE may ignore triggers for different types of PUEs or PUE use cases.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for techniques for signaling control information in wireless communication systems based on orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes. One aspect provides a method for wireless communication by a transmitter. The method generally includes transmitting to a receiver, with a first orbital angular momentum (OAM) mode, a first control channel on a first time-frequency resource and transmitting to the receiver, with a second OAM mode, at least one of a data channel or a second control channel on a second time-frequency resource that at least partially overlap with the first time-frequency resource in at least one of time or frequency.
