    Abstract: Techniques for video content based on multiple capture devices are described and are implementable to enable multiple video capture devices to be utilized for a video feed. Generally, the described implementations enable video content captured by multiple video capture devices to be utilized, such as to integrate different instances of video content into a merged video content stream. In at least one implementation this provides higher quality video attributes to be utilized than is provided by utilizing a single video content source.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a communication device electronically communicating with a content presentation companion device operating as a primary display for the electronic device and at least one augmented reality companion device. One or more sensors detect multiple persons within an environment while the content presentation companion device operates as the primary display. One or more processors redirect an event notification intended for presentation on the primary display to the augmented reality companion device while both the content presentation companion device operates as the primary display for the electronic device and the multiple persons are within the environment of the electronic device. When communicating with two augmented reality companion devices, the one or more processors can direct subtitles associated with a content offering, sometimes in different languages, to at least a first augmented reality companion device and a second augmented reality companion device.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first communication device operable across a first medium of communication and a second communication device operable across a second medium of communication that is different from the first medium of communication. One or more processors operable with the first communication device and the second communication device obtain a client certificate digest from a prospective client device using the first communication device. Thereafter, the one or more processors receive a client certificate from a remote electronic device using the second communication device.     Abstract: In aspects of adaptive grip suppression, a wireless device has a display screen with curved display edges to display a selectable element in a region of a curved display edge. The wireless device implements an adaptive control module to adaptively tune grip suppression in the curved display edges of the display screen, which limits a device application action from being initiated based on inadvertent touch inputs on the selectable element. The adaptive control module can adaptively tune the grip suppression by decreasing the grip suppression in the region of the curved display edge proximate the selectable element responsive to false rejects indicating that the device application action is not initiating responsive to intended touch inputs, or by increasing the grip suppression in the region of the curved display edge proximate the selectable element responsive to false accepts indicating that the device application action is initiating responsive to inadvertent touch inputs.

    Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method enable hosting a communication session with customizable roles for participants that provides an adjustable balance of interaction and decorum. A controller configures the electronic device to identify, within an image stream from a next one of two or more second electronic devices that is not currently selected to present to a video communication session, at least one of a speaking movement of a mouth of a non-presenting participant or a gesture by the non-presenting participant to provide an audio input via the next second electronic device. In response to the identified speaking movement or the gesture, a host user interface of the electronic device presents an alert and enables host toggling of a selected one of the electronic device and the two or more second electronic devices to present a corresponding audio and video stream to the video communication session.

    Abstract: A device property control system determines whether a current user of a device is an owner of the device, a trusted secondary user of the device, or an untrusted secondary user of the device. The system maintains device property values for the owner as well as each trusted secondary user of the device. When the current user of the device changes, the system determines whether the current user is the owner or a trusted secondary user and if so changes the device property values to those previously used by the owner or one of the trusted secondary users (whichever is the current user of the device). However, if the current user is an untrusted secondary user, the device property control system changes the device property values to demonstration mode device property values that are expected to best demonstrate the capabilities of the device.

    Abstract: A method including capturing a series of image frames of a hand. The method includes generating a map of hand landmarks for each in the series of image frames. The method includes determining whether the maps of hand landmarks include at least: (i) a first map that matches a first reference map of hand landmarks representing a hand in substantially a start position of a snap motion and (ii) a subsequent, second map that matches a second reference map of hand landmarks representing a hand in a progressed (e.g., intermediate or end) position of a snap motion. The method includes determining that a finger-snap gesture is detected in response to determining that the first map and second map were generated from image frames captured within a snap time limit; and executing an action corresponding to a determination that a finger-snap gesture is detected in the series of image frames.
