Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device including a display unit to display at least 3D object having different depths, a touch sensor unit to sense a touch input on the display unit, a tactile feedback unit to generate a tactile feedback corresponding to the 3D object, and a processor to control these units. The processor enables a tactile feedback function. If the touch input is sensed, the processor determines whether or not a first touch position as a position of the sensed touch input is within a first display area of a first 3D object having a first depth. If the first touch position is within the first display area, the processor regulates the first depth to make a first surface of the 3D object coincide with a surface of the display unit, and generates a first tactile feedback corresponding to the 3D object.
Abstract:
In an environment including multiple electronic devices that are each capable of being controlled by a user's voice command, an individual device is able to distinguish a voice command intended particularly for the device from among other voice commands that are intended for other devices present in the common environment. The device is able to accomplish this distinction by identifying unique attributes belonging to the device itself from within a user's voice command. Thus only voice commands that include attribute information that are supported by the device will be recognized by the device, and other voice commands that include attribute information that are not supported by the device may be effectively ignored for voice control purposes of the device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable device including a first camera unit configured to capture a first image and a second camera unit configured to capture a second image; a communication unit configured to transmit and receive data to and from an external device; and a processor configured to control the first camera unit, the second camera unit, and the communication unit, wherein the processor is further configured to: detect a state of a third camera unit contained in the external device when activating at least one of the first camera unit and the second camera unit, the state of the third camera unit including an active state and an inactive state, detect a direction of the third camera unit when the third camera unit is in the active state, and activate at least one of the first camera unit and the second camera unit in a different direction from the detected direction of the third camera unit.
Abstract:
A portable device is disclosed. A method of controlling a portable device, comprising the steps of capturing an image in front of the portable device, detecting a marker object from the image, displaying a virtual image corresponding to the marker object based on a location of the marker object, and terminating a display of the virtual image corresponding to the marker object, when the detecting of the marker object is terminated, terminate a display of the virtual image based on a first terminate mode if the gaze location of the user is detected at a first location, and terminate the display of the virtual image based on a second terminate mode if the gaze location of the user is detected at a second location.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a display device and a control method thereof. More particularly, disclosed is a method of providing various notification modes based on a folding angle of a foldable display device and a bending angle of a flexible display device.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a display device according to an embodiment of the specification may include displaying a digital image including a first region to which a first tactile feedback is allocated, detecting a control input applied to the first region of the digital image, determining whether the first region of the digital image is smaller than a size threshold, zooming in on the first region to which the first tactile feedback is allocated to a size larger than the size threshold with a first magnification when the first region is smaller than the size threshold, and generating the first tactile feedback in the zoomed in on first region.
Abstract:
Discussed are a smart watch and a control method for the same, which provide a notification indicating events, which are scheduled to occur later on the basis of a take-off time, if the smart watch is taken off. The smart watch includes a display unit to display content, a communication unit to perform transmission/reception of data, and a sensor unit to detect an input signal with regard to the smart watch and transmit the signal to a processor that serves to control the aforementioned units. The processor detects a take-off signal, indicating separation of the smart watch from a user, in a worn mode, to switch the smart watch to an unworn mode in response to the detected take-off signal, and provides a notification indicating at least one event that is scheduled to occur after detecting the take-off signal in the unworn mode.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a foldable device, includes detecting, by the foldable device, that folding of the foldable device has occurred, the foldable device including at least one motion sensor configured to detect a movement of the foldable device; determining whether motion sensing correction of the foldable device in a folded state is necessary by detecting whether the folding of the foldable device affects motion sensing of the at least one motion sensor; acquiring at least one motion sensing correction factor for performing the motion sensing correction due to the folding based on the determination result; performing motion sensing correction of the at least one motion sensor using the at least one motion sensing correction factor; and carrying out an operation in the foldable device in the folded state.
Abstract:
A method and device for controlling content that includes plural display pages in a sequence, the method including: displaying a current page included in the content; receiving a user input to or above a display screen of the display unit for changing from the current page to another page of the content; extracting fingerprint information from the user input; determining whether the content of the another page is or is not accessible based on the extracted fingerprint information; if all of the content of the another page is determined to be accessible based on the extracted fingerprint information, displaying the another page; and if any of the content of the another page is determined not to be accessible based on the extracted fingerprint information, displaying a page following the current page without displaying content of the another page that was determined not to be accessible.
