Abstract: Embodiments provide resource scheduling methods and apparatus that reduce transmission resource overhead in resource scheduling. The method can be applied to a wireless local area network, where a next generation protocol followed by the wireless local area network predefines locations of resource units potentially allocated from a to-be-assigned frequency domain resource. The method includes: generating, by a sending end, resource scheduling information, where the resource scheduling information includes a bit sequence to indicate an actual allocation of a resource unit(s) from the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource, and at least some bits in the bit sequence to indicate whether one or more of the resource unit locations potentially allocated for the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource are the actually allocated resource units.

Abstract: A receiving state indication method for an aggregate-media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (A-MPDU) and a receiving device in order to indicate a receiving state of the A-MPDU including a MAC service data unit (MSDU) fragment, where the method includes receiving, by a receive end, the A-MPDU from a transmit end, and sending, by the receive end to the transmit end, an acknowledgement frame indicating a receiving state of the A-MPDU when at least one MPDU in the A-MPDU is obtained by encapsulating the fragment of the MSDU, where the acknowledgement frame includes a fragment indication field and a receiving state field.

Abstract: This application discloses a multi-link communication probe request method and apparatus. The method includes: a non-access point multi-link device (non-AP MLD) generates a probe request frame, and sends the probe request frame to an access point multi-link device (AP MLD), and the AP MLD receives the probe request frame, and generates a probe response frame and sends to the non-AP MLD. The probe request frame includes a first multi-link element (MLE) that is used to request link information of the AP MLD and that includes a first link information field. The first link information field includes a first field. The first field indicates that the non-AP MLD requests the AP MLD to feed back complete information or partial information of a first link. The first link information field corresponds to the first link.

Abstract: Disclosed are a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) transmission method and a related apparatus. The method includes: generating a PPDU, where the PPDU includes a universal signal field (U-SIG), and the U-SIG includes a subfield indicating that the PPDU is a null data packet (NDP); and sending the PPDU. In this way, a beamformee (Bfee) that receives the NDP can identify the NDP earlier. This helps improve efficiency of reading the NDP by the Bfee. The PPDU is an NDP used for a standard after 802.11ax. In a scenario in which wireless communication is performed by using the standard (for example, 802.11be) after 802.11ax, the Bfee can perform channel estimation based on the NDP.

Abstract: The technology of this application relates to methods and apparatuses for sending and receiving a physical layer protocol data unit. The method includes: generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), where the PPDU includes a short training field, a length of a frequency domain sequence of the short training field is greater than a first length, and the first length is a length, for example, 2048, of a frequency domain sequence of a short training field that is transmitted over a 160 MHz-bandwidth channel, and sending the PPDU over a target channel, where a bandwidth of the target channel is greater than 160 MHz. According to embodiments of this application, a larger actual channel bandwidth can be achieved, and backward compatibility is implemented.

Abstract: This application provides communication methods, apparatus and systems. In an example method, a first station (STA) of a station multi-link device (STA MLD) sends a request frame to an access point multi-link device (AP MLD), wherein the request frame is used to request to establish single-link communication, and an address 2 field in the request frame is set to a media access control (MAC) address of the STA MLD. The first STA receives a response frame from the AP MLD, wherein the response frame indicates that the single-link communication is successfully established. The first STA performs air interface transmission with the AP MLD according to the single-link communication.

Abstract: A communication method is applied to a wireless local area network in an enhanced multi-link single radio (EMLSR) mode. When an enhanced multi-link single radio (EMLSR) non-access point multi-link device (non-AP MLD) finds that states of all or some links of the EMLSR non-AP MLD change, the EMLSR non-AP MLD sends a frame on any available link. The frame carries indication information indicating an available link or a link whose state changes in the EMLSR non-AP MLD. Alternatively, the frame may carry another piece of indication information indicating that a state of a link has changed. An access point multi-link device (AP MLD) refrains from sending a signal to the EMLSR non-AP MLD on an unavailable link of the EMLSR non-AP MLD.
