Abstract: A blower assembly for an airflow medium, such as in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The blower assembly has a case defining an airflow inlet and an airflow outlet. An airflow generator is mounted within the case. Rotation of the airflow generator draws airflow into the case through the airflow inlet, directs airflow through the case, and pushes airflow out of the case through the airflow outlet. The motor is entirely within the case and is mounted on an upstream side of the airflow generator with respect to direction of airflow produced by the airflow generator through the case.

Abstract: An access system for a vehicle is provided and includes antennas and an access module. The antennas are configured to each receive a signal transmitted from a portable access device to the vehicle. One of the antennas is a circular polarized antenna. The access module is configured to: downconvert the received signal to generate an in-phase signal and a quadrature phase signal; execute a music algorithm to determine angles of arrival of the received signal as received at the antennas; determine a distance between the portable access device and the vehicle based on the angles of arrival; and permit access to the vehicle based on the distance.

Abstract: A system for predicting and interpreting driving behavior of a vehicle includes a first edge computing device that can acquire spatial-temporal data for the vehicle from one or more sensors that are part of traffic infrastructure. The first edge computing device includes a processor and instructions executable by the processor that execute unsupervised deep learning methods on the data from the sensors to cluster the data into segments and integrate a language model with the deep learning method to output driving behavior in a natural language. The instructions further include normalizing the data, processing the data with a first artificial neural network (ANN) to output a first vector, processing the clustered data segments with a second ANN to output a second vector, concatenating the vectors into a single vector, and processing the single vector with a third ANN to output a predicted driving behavior of the vehicle.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward a lane detection method. The method includes: acquiring road information for a section of a road upon which a subject vehicle is traveling, determining whether an adjacent vehicle is traveling in vicinity of the subject vehicle, defining, in response to determining the presence of the adjacent vehicle, a vehicle trajectory based on movement of the adjacent vehicle and the road information, detecting one or more lane markings along the road upon which the subject vehicle is traveling, defining a lane marking trajectory in response to detecting the one or more lane markings, calculating a lane accuracy for each estimated lane trajectory that includes the vehicle trajectory, the lane marking trajectory, or a combination thereof, and selecting a drive lane from among the estimated lane trajectories based on the lane accuracy.
