摘要: A method for casing a subsea wellbore includes running a tieback casing string into the subsea wellbore using a workstring including first, second, and third wiper plugs. The method further includes: launching a first release plug or tag into the workstring; pumping cement slurry into the workstring, thereby driving the first release plug or tag along the workstring; after pumping the cement slurry, launching a second release plug or tag into the workstring; and pumping chaser fluid into the workstring, thereby driving the release plugs or tags and cement slurry through the workstring. The release plugs or tags engage and release the respective wiper plugs from the workstring. The first wiper plug or release plug ruptures, thereby allowing the cement slurry to flow therethrough. The method further includes: stabbing the tieback casing string into a liner string; and retrieving the workstring, the workstring still including the third wiper plug.

摘要: An example system for isolating cement slurry from drilling fluids includes a tool configured for installation on a landing collar of a casing. The tool includes a base that conforms to an inner circumference of the casing and a tube that extends uphole from the base. The tube has a first borehole that extends downhole through the base. The tube is perforated to allow cement slurry to pass from the casing into the first borehole. A cementing plug is configured to seal to the casing uphole of the base. The cementing plug includes a second borehole to receive the tube. The cementing plug includes a covering that extends across at least part of the borehole and that is configured to break in response to contact with the tube.

摘要: Particulate dispenser can include a housing enclosing a receiving space. The housing having a fluid inlet aperture and a particulate input aperture, and a fluid outlet aperture. A hopper can be disposed above the housing and coupled to feed particulate from the hopper to the particulate input aperture. A wheel disposed within in the receiving space having at least one distribution aperture extending from the top surface to the bottom surface. The apertures being disposed at respective positions so that rotation of the wheel alternately aligns the distribution aperture with the particulate input aperture to feed particulate from the particulate input aperture into the distribution aperture and then aligns the distribution aperture with the fluid input aperture and the fluid output aperture to feed the particulate from the distribution aperture into the fluid flowing through the distribution aperture as the wheel rotates.

摘要: Switchable cross-over systems, devices, and methods for cementing well walls. A switchable cross-over device includes a tool body, a flow sleeve, and a hydraulic sleeve. The tool body includes a main tool path separable into upper and lower tool paths and an auxiliary chamber containing upper and lower annular ports. The flow sleeve is within the auxiliary chamber and movable into a reverse circulation position by a plug traveling through the main tool path. The hydraulic sleeve is located within the main tool path and mechanically coupled to the flow sleeve. The hydraulic sleeve is movable into a conventional circulation position via pressure within the main tool path acting on the hydraulic sleeve.
