Abstract: Systems and methods for improving the use of precipitation sensors, such as radar and rain gauges, are described herein. In an embodiment, an agricultural intelligence computer system receives one or more digital precipitation records comprising a plurality of digital data values representing precipitation amount at a plurality of locations. The system additionally receives one or more digital forecast records comprising a plurality of digital data values representing precipitation forecasts, each of which comprising predictions of precipitation at a plurality of lead times. The system identifies a plurality of forecast values for a plurality of locations at a particular time, each of the plurality of forecast values corresponding to a different lead time. The system uses the plurality of forecast values to generate a probability of precipitation at each of the plurality of locations. The system determines that the probability of precipitation at a particular location is lower than a stored threshold value and, in response, store data identifying the particular location as having received no precipitation.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for reporting performance of an agricultural input for a plant involves: storing in a computer database a set of agricultural inputs, plants for which the agricultural inputs are used, performance attributes of the agricultural inputs, historical agricultural input performance values, and a relative significance of each of the agricultural inputs for the performance attribute. A computer processor is used to receive a plant selection; receive an attribute to be targeted for the plant selection; identify a plurality of agricultural inputs for affecting the targeted attribute for the plant using the historical agricultural input performance values; rank the plurality of agricultural inputs for affecting the targeted attribute for the selected plant using the relative significance associated therewith; and display the plurality of agricultural inputs and corresponding ranks for the received attribute associated with the selected plant.

Abstract: An emitter forms a flow path that runs to a discharge part from a water collecting part for receiving an irrigation liquid in a tube. The flow path includes a flow rate control part which includes: an end surface including a concave inclined surface that faces a film for receiving the pressure of the liquid inside the tube; a hole that opens at the center of the flow volume control part and connects to the discharge part; and a groove crossing the inclined surface and running to the hole. When the film adheres to the inclined surface as a result of the pressure of the irrigation liquid inside the tube, the flow volume of the irrigation liquid inside the emitter is controlled so as to be a volume that can pass through the groove.
