    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, and an image sticking compensator for generating age data with respect to the plurality of pixels by accumulating average degradation data that is an average of degradation data with respect to a plurality of successive frame periods, by accumulating the degradation data with respect to a representative frame period among the plurality of successive frame periods, or by accumulating degradation data generated by accumulating degradation differential data with respect to two successive frame periods, and generating output image data by compensating input image data using the age data.

    Abstract: A variety of methods for driving electro-optic displays so as to reduce visible artifacts are described. Such methods includes driving an electro-optic display having a plurality of display pixels and controlled by a display controller, the display controller associated with a host for providing operational instructions to the display controller, the method may include updating the display with a first image, updating the display with a second image subsequent to the first image, processing image data associated with the first image and the second image to identify display pixels with edge artifacts and generate image data associated with the identified pixels, storing the image data associated pixels with edge artifacts at a memory location, and initiating a waveform to clear the edge artifacts.

    Abstract: A pixel includes a first switching transistor, a second switching transistor, a driving transistor, and a light emitting element. The first switching transistor includes a first terminal to which a bias power supply voltage is applied, a second terminal connected to a first node, and a gate terminal to which a light emitting element initialization signal is applied. The second switching transistor includes a first terminal connected to the first node, a second terminal connected to a second node, and a gate terminal to which the light emitting element initialization signal is applied. The driving transistor includes a first terminal connected to the second node, a second terminal connected to a third node, and a gate terminal. The light emitting element is connected to the driving transistor. The first node is connected to the third node, and the bias power supply voltage is applied to the second and third nodes.

    Abstract: A display device includes a first gain provider which controls a first gain value during a first display period in which a still image is displayed, a second gain provider which controls a second gain value during a second display period in which a moving image including a still area is displayed, and a grayscale converter which applies the first gain value or the second gain value to an input image and generates an output image. The first gain provider linearly or exponentially increases the first gain value to a maximum gain value based on a load of the still image from a first time point when the second display period changes to the first display period to a second time point at which the first gain value starts to decrease from the maximum gain value.

    Abstract: The present application provides a displaying device and a controlling method thereof, which relates to the technical field of displaying. The displaying device can solve the problem of residual images generated in power-off and greatly improve the product quality and the user experience. The displaying device includes: a time-sequence controlling circuit, a power-supply circuit, a system controlling circuit and a display panel; the power-supply circuit is electrically connected to the time-sequence controlling circuit and the system controlling circuit, and is configured for: providing a first power-supply voltage and a second power-supply voltage to the time-sequence controlling circuit, wherein a magnitude of the first power-supply voltage and that of the second power-supply voltage are different; in a normal shutdown mode, under control of the system controlling circuit, firstly shutting down an output of the first power-supply voltage, after a first time period, shutting down an output of the second power-supply voltage.
