Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for augmenting data by generating a plurality of pose-altered images of an item from one or more 2D images of the item and using the augmented data to train a train a feature extractor. In other aspects of the invention, the trained feature extractor is used to enroll features extracted from images of new products in a library database of known products or to identify images of unknown products by matching features of an image of the unknown product with features stored in the library database.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a new method for analyzing, modifying, and distributing digital images and video in a quick, efficient, practical and/or cost-effective way. The method of processing video can take a different region or object and replace the pixels in the frames of the scenes that comprise the features and characteristics of the identified region or object with a different set of pixels. The replacement or other customizations of the frames and scenes lead to a naturally integrated video or image which is indistinguishable by the human eye or other visual system. In one embodiment, this invention can be used to provide different advertising elements into an image or set of images for different viewers, or to enable a viewer to control elements within a video and add their own preference or other elements.

Abstract: An OCT apparatus of an exemplary aspect includes an OCT scanner, image data generating unit, registration unit, and image data composing unit. The OCT scanner is configured to acquire three dimensional data sets by applying an OCT scan to mutually different three dimensional regions of a sample. The image data generating unit is configured to generate a plurality of pieces of image data from the three dimensional data sets. The registration unit is configured to perform a first registration between the plurality of pieces of image data by applying an image correlation calculation to each of overlap regions in the plurality of pieces of image data. The image data composing unit is configured to compose the plurality of pieces of image data based on a result of the first registration.

Abstract: A method is implemented at an electronic device for displaying output from an application. The electronic device includes a display module and an application. The application sends to the display module a request to display output on the fixed orientation display. The display module determines whether the application is able to scale the output from the application to fit the fixed orientation display. In accordance with a determination that the application is able to scale the output, the electronic device causes the application to receive information concerning the fixed orientation display from the display module and scale the output for display on the fixed orientation display according to the information. In accordance with a determination that the application is not able to scale the output, the display module scales the output received from the application, thereby enabling the output of the application to be displayed on the fixed orientation display.

Abstract: Generating a three-dimensional virtual representation of a three-dimensional physical object can be based on capturing or receiving a capture bundle or a set of images. Generating the virtual representation can include previewing or modifying a set of images. In some examples, generating the virtual representation of the physical object can include generating a first representation of the physical object (e.g., a point cloud) and/or generating a second three-dimensional virtual representation of the physical object (e.g., a mesh reconstruction). In some examples, a visual indication of the progress of the image capture process and/or the generation of the virtual representation of the three-dimensional object can be displayed, such as in a capture user interface.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a software tool that engages in a pattern matching technique. In one implementation, the software tool retrieves a two-dimensional drawing and identifies walls as lines, rotates the drawing until a threshold number of lines are aligned with either the X or Y axes, discards lines that are not aligned with either the X or Y axis, identifies intersection points, identifies a subset of intersection points that have a maxima or minima coordinate, constructs a data library indicative of the relative positions of the points in the identified subset; and compares the constructed data libraries for the two-dimensional drawing to data libraries constructed for another two-dimensional drawing.
