    Abstract: An illumination system includes first laser light sources, second laser light sources, an optical module, and a light homogenizing element. The first and second laser light sources respectively provide first and second beams. A light spot area formed when the second beams are emitted is different from that formed when the first beams are emitted. The optical module converts the first beams into spot-expanding beams which form a light spot area different from that of the first beams. The light homogenizing element includes a light incident face disposed on transmission paths of the second beams and the spot-expanding beams. A difference between light spot areas formed by the second beams and the spot-expanding beams on the light incident face is less than a difference between light spot areas formed when the second beams and the first beams are emitted. A projection apparatus having the illumination system is further disclosed.

    Abstract: A method and system for controlling projection of optical indicators on a worksurface is disclosed. A projection device for projecting a first optical indicator and a second optical indicator onto a worksurface is provided. A measurement system monitors a work area in which the worksurface is disposed. The measurement system locates a control object within the work area and identifies a marker disposed on the control object. The measurement system monitors a first disposition and a second disposition of the control object. The projection device projects the first optical indicator onto the worksurface and the projection device projects the second optical indicator onto the worksurface in response to manipulation of the control object between the first disposition and the second disposition as detected by said measurement system.

    Abstract: The invention provides an illumination system and a projection device with the illumination system. The illumination system is configured to provide an illumination beam, and includes a coherent light source, a first and a second optical module, a first and a second diffuser element. A coherent beam emitted by the coherent light source is focused on a first position through the first optical module, and the first diffuser element is located at or near the first position. The coherent beam from the first diffuser element is focused on a second position through the second optical module. The second diffuser element is located on a transmission path of the coherent beam from the second optical module, and located at or near the second position. The coherent beam sequentially passes through the first diffuser element, the second optical module and the second diffuser element to form the illumination beam.

    Abstract: A radiation-emitting device includes an optoelectronic component for emitting first electromagnetic radiation. The radiation-emitting device also includes a conversion element having an entrance surface and an exit surface. The radiation-emitting device further includes a dielectric mirror on the exit surface. The radiation-emitting device is configured such that first radiation emitted by the component during operation enters the conversion element via the entrance surface. The conversion element is configured for converting the first radiation into second electromagnetic radiation, which subsequently exits the conversion element via the exit surface.
