Abstract:
A medical services unit for use in health care facilities where high security is required, such as in prison and psychiatric hospitals. The unit comprises a floor-to-ceiling column with an internal medical services section to provide a plurality of medical services. The medical services section is protected by a rotating steel door that prevents access to the enclosed services. The medical services section also includes a sub-door made of a transparent, shatterproof polymer, such as polycarbonate. Thus, the clear cover panel permits visual access to the gauges and controls for the services, but prevents unauthorized physical access to them. The column is entirely enclosed in a protective casing made out of rolled steel. Doors are provided in the casing for providing access b authorized personnel only to the internal medical services section.
Abstract:
High odor eliminating property is provided to a building material for interiors by compounding a hydrazide compound. Additionally, the odor eliminating property of the building material for interiors is improved and hygroscopicity and size stability at the time of use are provided by adding and compounding an organic carbide, an inorganic hygroscopic material, and a water repellent. Also, an interior structure in which these building materials for interiors are employed is provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to structural couplings for forming of a variety of structures such as floor and wall panels for buildings and internal structures such as hand rails. The structural coupling comprises a structural component or components (1) provided with coupling leg formations (2) and locking flanges (F) and a channel section (8) which interconnect one with the other by means of a snap fit engagement (12) of the leg formations (2) of the structural component (1) with the channel section (8). This has considerable advantages over the prior art where nuts and bolts were needed to fasten the components together. The use of a common channel section which can be engaged by snap fit action provides an elegant and non-limited method of joining structural components together rather than in a direct fashion as with prior systems.
Abstract:
Method for manufacturing panels, wherein these panels are composed at least of a substrate and a top layer, which includes at least one material sheet, wherein for said material sheet use is made of a material sheet which previously is provided with a radiation-hardening covering layer, in which hard particles are included.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a removable protector/display device for columns. The invention includes a flexible laminated panel having a flame-retardant elastomer base. The outer visible face of the base is permanently equipped with a flame-retardant, self-adhesive piece of canvas. The flexible panel includes vertical end strips with two overlapping detachable loop-type edge pieces connected to the inner face of the base and to the canvas. The edge pieces surround the respective outer vertical edge of both layers of the flexible panel to form a casing into which two steel rods are inserted. The casings have mutually-facing holes that expose the steel rods which are connected to one another by corresponding clamps, which are shorter than the distance between the steel rods. The assembly forms a seam in the flexible panel which is tightened around the column.
Abstract:
This invention concerns a furnishing article, like interactive surfaces, to be used as coating for floors and walls or as upper parts of furniture such as tables, stools and the like, the afore mentioned furnishing article being suitable for achieving particular aesthetic results, like changing colour and/or design after simply touching the surface itself in addition to pushing the said surface more forcefully. This interactive surface, which includes a first flexible transparent or translucent plate (3) combined with a second plate (2) having the same surface as the first plate (3), so that the first mentioned plate can be coupled with the second plate (2) along their perimeter, in order to create between said first and the second plate a thin meatus (4), filled with at least one liquid able to move inside said meatus (4) after pressure is applied on said first upper plate (3) tending to move it closer to the second lower plate (2), so said second lower plate becomes visible though said first upper transparent or translucent plate (3), is characterized by the fact that the first upper plate (3) is made of polymeric material and that said at least one liquid is insulating and contains solid suspended particles able to reflect the light in various directions, according to their orientation, the said orientation can be changed by touching the surface and/or pushing on it.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a method and the product obtained using said method for the creation of decorative plates of glass for use in building as a covering material for walls and floors and in furnishing for kitchen surfaces, bathroom furnishings and the like; the said plates being able to resist thermal shocks and knocks or, at the least, to minimize the effects of such thermal shocks and knocks, usually making repairs possible. The method essentially provides for shattering a plate of tempered glass in equipment suitable for holding the fragments in place, refilling at least part of the cracklings with adhesive and subsequently allowing that adhesive to harden. The resulting product is characterized in that it comprises a plurality of glass fragments bonded together by means of the afore-mentioned adhesive, which at least partially fills the space existing between said fragments.
Abstract:
Siding trim including at least three trim elements each having at least two recesses associated therewith. The at least two recesses share a traversing frame element. The traversing frame element has at least two projecting elements projecting outwardly therefrom. The at least two recesses selectively receive and retain one or more panel elements. The at least two recesses bias against the one or more panel elements to firmly retain the one or more panel elements therein.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a custom made magnetic pad having a sheet, the sheet having a first side having a magnetic material and a second side. The second side displays a graphic representation. The graphic representation is chosen from a window or door and includes a grille and a plurality of geometric panels.
Abstract:
A decorative wall is disclosed which hides residential equipment. The decorative wall comprises a wall having a mounting mechanism which removably erects the wall on a surface, the wall having a flat surface having indicia or images imprinted thereon.
