摘要： A sofa hinge that provides easy conversion of a sofa convertible from one position to another while providing added safety by substantially reducing the risk of an injury to the operator's fingers. The sofa hinge includes a first and a second bracket rotatably connected to the sofa hinge at a bolt. The sofa hinge further comprises a lever gear mechanism connected to the first bracket via a first lever latch on the first bracket. The lever gear mechanism is connected to the second bracket via a second lever latch on the second bracket. The first bracket has cover plates on both the inside and outside surfaces of the bracket. The second bracket includes a cover plate attached on the outside surface. The second lever latch can larger than the first lever latch and function as an additional cover plate on the inside surface of the sofa hinge. By having the cover plates and second lever latch cover the lever gear mechanism of the sofa hinge on both the outside and inside surfaces of the sofa hinge, the risk of injury to the operator's fingers is substantially reduced.

摘要： An articulated sofa bed has a compact profile while folded with the seat cushions residing at a comfortable and ergonomic height and an esthetically pleasing streamlined appearance. The sofa bed takes advantage of a deployment assembly having a support frame with swinging rear arms that, when the bed is folded, occupy a small volume within the back of the sofa. The sofa bed also takes advantage of a leg assembly that is anchored within the thickness of the bed panels so as to stack the foot and middle panels closer to each other. The deployment assembly also cooperates to position the middle and foot panels of the bed in a folded position at a low height above the floor and below the seat cushions, respectively.

摘要： A furniture product includes a folding mechanism that folds into a seat frame. The folding mechanism includes a rear section, a middle section, and a front section, with the rear and middle sections being received in a cavity in the back of the seat frame when the product is in a stowed, seating position. Upon receiving a user input, a position motor deploys the folding mechanism into a sleeping position. Upon achieving the sleeping position, an inflation switch is engaged. An air pump disposed in or near the furniture product is activated in response to engagement of the inflation switch. To return the product to a stowed, seating position, a user input causes the air pump to deflate the mattress and the position motor to fold the folding mechanism into the seat frame.

摘要： A folding furniture structure for converting between a folded seating condition and an unfolded sleeping condition comprises a floor-supported base, and plural frame sections supported on the base. The frame sections are movable between the folded seating condition with the second seat section pivoted into overlying superposed face abutment to the first seat section and the seat back section extending angularly upwardly from the second seat section for use as a seat, and the unfolded sleeping condition with the second seat section and the seat back section aligned horizontally with the first seat section for use as a bed.

摘要： A new simple and inexpensive futon frame which can be converted from a bed to a sofa. The frame is fabricated in a three-section, tri-fold configuration with three sections hingedly joined together. When opened, the segments of the frame form a horizontal bed support frame. The hinge points of the frame are offset to allow for folding of the frame into the sofa and/or into a small, compact unit for ease in shipping. Each of the frame sections has support legs, some of which are foldably mounted to the frame. The back legs of the frame (when it is a bed) become a support for the back of the frame (when it is a sofa). The use of a steel mesh as the futon mattress supporting surface adds great benefit to the product in that it allows use of a much thinner (less costly) futon mattress.
