Abstract: Aligned listen before talk (LBT) gaps for single operator frame-based equipment (FBE) mode new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) is disclosed. Within the FBE mode network, the base station determines a plurality of potential transmission bursts within a fixed frame period. The base station may then reserve a plurality of LBT gaps prior to the starting position of each such transmission burst. The base station communicates the location of each of the LBT gaps to all neighboring network entities and contends for access to the fixed frame period at the beginning of the frame regardless of whether it has data for transmission during the frame. Each neighboring base station that receives the LBT gaps locations will use the same locations in order to align the LBT gaps over the FBE mode network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes identifying that the user equipment (UE) is to use a two-step random access channel (RACH) procedure that includes a first message (e.g., uplink request message) and a second message (e.g., downlink response). The methods include sending, as a first message of the two-step RACH procedure, the uplink request message to a base station, receiving, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel comprising an indication of resources of a broadcast or multicast physical downlink shared channel on which the downlink response is to be received, and receiving the downlink response from the base station on the broadcast or multicast physical downlink shared channel. The physical downlink shared channel may be configured to provide downlink responses for one or multiple UEs.

A user equipment (UE) in communication with a serving base station may identify that the UE is a potential victim of interference from a neighboring base station. The UE may transmit an interference coordination message to the neighboring base station. The interference coordination message may request modification of one or more transmission parameters at the neighboring base station. The neighboring base station may modify its transmission parameters to decrease interference with the UE, and the UE may communicate with the serving base station after transmitting the interference coordination message.

The UE may contend, based at least in part on the group identifier of the UE and the one or more group identifiers received from the base station, for access to a set of autonomous uplink (AUL) resources during the time period. The UE may perform, based at least in part on the contending, an AUL transmission to the base station using the set of autonomous uplink resources.

Abstract: Systems and methods for wireless communication include a user equipment (UE) and a base station, wherein the UE transmits additional channel state information (A-CSI), along with ACK/NACK (or “A/N”) reporting to the base station in a soft A/N payload. The A/N reporting is responsive to downlink control information (DCI) grants in a downlink transmission from the base station. The A-CSI reporting is responsive one or more DCIs which include a CSI trigger. Even if one or more DCIs with CSI triggers are missed in the downlink transmission, the UE is designed to detect whether there may be any missing DCIs with CSI triggers and provide A-CSI reporting in the soft A/N payload based on this detection.

In cases where a power-limited UE is to transmit control information, power allocation across different carriers may be determined based on one or more of a number of parameters, such as a type of control channel for transmission of control information, an outcome of an LBT procedure for a carrier using shared radio frequency spectrum, a timing of the LBT procedure, one or more other concurrent transmissions, or any combination thereof.
