Abstract: A wireless communications system includes a first transceiver with a first phased array antenna panel having horizontal-polarization receive antennas and vertical-polarization transmit antennas, where the horizontal-polarization receive antennas form a first receive beam based on receive phase and receive amplitude information provided by a first master chip, the vertical-polarization transmit antennas form a first transmit beam based on transmit phase and transmit amplitude information provided by the first master chip. The wireless communications system may include a second transceiver having vertical-polarization receive antennas and horizontal-polarization transmit antennas in a second phased array antenna panel, where the vertical-polarization receive antennas form a second receive beam based on receive phase and receive amplitude information provided by a second master chip, the horizontal-polarization transmit antennas form a second transmit beam based on transmit phase and transmit amplitude information provided by the second master chip.

Abstract: A wireless receiver is disclosed. The wireless receiver includes a phased array antenna panel having a plurality of antennas, and a low resolution analog-to-digital (A/D) converter coupled to each of the plurality of antennas, where the low resolution A/D converter is configured to provide a digital output based on comparing a reference value with a sum of noise value and signal value of an analog input received by the corresponding one of the plurality of antennas. Noise signals received by the plurality of antennas are uncorrelated, and a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the analog input can be less than one. The low resolution A/D converter can be a one-bit A/D converter. The one-bit A/D converter can be a comparator receiving the sum of noise value and signal value as one comparator input, and receiving the reference value as another comparator input.

Abstract: A calibration system, in a receiver chip, receives a plurality of receive signals at a plurality of receive paths. A first receive path and a second receive path is selected for a first receive signal and a second receive signal, respectively. A first signal parameter of the second receive signal is adjusted relative to the first signal parameter of the first receive signal to maximize a first signal strength value of an added signal or minimize a second signal strength value of a subtracted signal. Based on the adjusted first signal parameter, an offset of the first signal parameter is calibrated. Further, based on a matching of the second signal parameter in the second receive path relative to the second signal parameter in the first receive path, value of the second signal parameter is calibrated.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of antenna modules and a printed circuit board (PCB) having a plurality of holes embedded with a heat sink. Abstract: An active repeater device includes a primary sector and at least a secondary sector communicatively coupled to the primary sector receives or transmits a first beam of input RF signals having a first beam pattern from or to a base station, respectively. The primary sector includes an baseband signal processor and a first radio head (RH) unit. The secondary sector comprises a second RH unit. Beamforming coefficients are generated to convert the first beam pattern of the first beam of input RF signals to a second beam pattern based on a location of each of a plurality of user equipment (UEs). A second beam of output RF signals in the second beam pattern is transmitted from or received by, respectively, the secondary sector to or from, respectively, the plurality of UEs based on the generated beamforming coefficients and the received first beam of input RF signals.

Abstract: In a first radio frequency (RF) device, circuits determine a non-line-of-sight (NLOS) radio path, and select a first plurality of reflector devices associated with the NLOS radio path from a second plurality of reflector devices. The first plurality of reflector devices, are selected based on a first set of criteria, includes an active reflector device and a passive reflector device, and are controlled to transmit a plurality of RF signals to a second RF device based on a second set of criteria. The second RF device is associated with electronic devices. The first RF signal interferes with a second RF signal of the RF signals. A first type of signal associated with the plurality of RF signals is converted to a second type of signal at the second RF device, and the second type of signal is transmitted by the second RF device to the one or more electronic devices.

Abstract: A communication device includes a service transmitter (Tx) configured to transmit a second beam of RF signals in a first radiation pattern to a user equipment (UE). The communication device further includes a control circuitry configured to: detect an amount and direction of echo signals at the donor receiver Rx corresponding to reflected RF signals in an environment surrounding a communication device; determine an installation location for the communication device based on echo signal measurements at one or more different locations; adjust polarization of the second beam of RF signals to minimize the echo signals at the donor receiver Rx based on the echo signal; and generate a second radiation pattern for at least the second beam of RF signals based on the amount and direction of the echo signals in the environment detected at the donor receiver Rx.

Abstract: A system, in a programmable active reflector (AR) device associated with a first radio frequency (RF) device and a second RF device, receives a request and associated metadata from the second RF device via a first antenna array. Based on the received request and associated metadata, one or more antenna control signals are received from the first RF device. The programmable AR device is dynamically selected and controlled by the first RF device based on a set of criteria. A controlled plurality of RF signals is transmitted, via a second antenna array, to the second RF device within a transmission range of the programmable AR device based on the associated metadata. The controlled plurality of RF signals are cancelled at the second RF device based on the associated metadata.
