    摘要: A transflective liquid crystal display device includes a gate line and a data line on a first substrate that cross each other to define a pixel region having a transmissive region and a reflective region. A first passivation layer covers a thin film transistor which is electrically connected to the gate and data lines, wherein the first passivation layer has a first transmissive hole corresponding to the transmissive region and an inclined portion surrounding the first transmissive hole. A reflector is on the first passivation layer, wherein the reflector corresponds to the reflective region and covers sides of the transmissive region asymmetrically. A second passivation layer is on the reflector. A transparent electrode is on the second passivation layer, wherein the transparent electrode electrically contacts the thin film transistor.

    摘要: The invention relates to an array substrate for use in a transflective liquid crystal display device that has a high contrast ratio. The array substrate includes a first light-shielding pattern on a substrate, which is made of the same material as a gate electrode. The array substrate further includes a second light-shielding pattern that is made of the same material as an active layer in the same process step. These first and second light-shielding patterns are disposed in a border portion between the transmissive portion and the reflective portion, where the liquid crystal molecules are misaligned and the light is distorted. The first and second light-shielding pattern prevents the light leakage occurring in the border region between the transmissive portion and the reflective portion, thereby increasing the contrast ratio of the transflective LCD device.

    摘要: A transflective liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, which can be used in the transparent mode and reflective mode, selectively. The transflective liquid crystal panel includes the pixel electrode having the transparent electrode and reflective electrode and the reflective film having the transmitting hole. Therefore, the light generated from the backlight device can pass through the transmitting hole and transparent electrode into the liquid crystal. Moreover, the light reflected in the reflective film can also pass through them into the liquid crystal without being absorbed by the lower polarizer. That is, the brightness of the transflective LCD device is improved.
