Abstract:
An image development unit of an MFP executes an interpretation process for a rendering command of data that is received by a data receiving unit. If a result of the interpretation process shows that the received data is print data, the image development unit executes a rendering process using a parameter for a printer, which corresponds to characteristics of the MFP, and effects printing on paper in a printer unit. If the result of the interpretation process shows that the received data is PC-FAX data, the image development unit executes a rendering process using a parameter for PC-FAX, which does not depend on the characteristics of the MFP, and further subjects the data, which is obtained by the rendering process, to a conversion process such as a resolution conversion process, thereby converting the data to a facsimile image. The facsimile image is facsimile-transmitted via an interface unit to a public line.
Abstract:
When the combination of the image signal and contents each having various aspect ratios is displayed on the display with various aspect ratios, an image display device that generates a proper display screen with simple operation or automatically is provided. The image display device of the present invention has a display screen expanding part for expanding a display screen of input image signal in at least one direction of the horizontal direction and the vertical direction based on an expansion ratio; a selecting part for automatically setting the above-mentioned expansion ratio of the above-mentioned display screen expanding part in at least one direction of the horizontal direction and the vertical direction based on information on an aspect ratio of a display, information on an aspect ratio of an image signal, and information on an aspect ratio of contents as an effective section of the above-mentioned image signal; and the above-mentioned display for displaying the display screen of the above-mentioned image signal.
Abstract:
The invention provides an optical disc apparatus having a dynamic damper mechanism which does not use any part for exclusive use for absorbing a shock of an optical pickup. The optical disc apparatus is provided with a chassis attached to a base chassis via a first elastic body, shafts provided on the chassis, an optical pickup moving on the shaft, and a weight attached to the chassis via a second elastic body, the weight is provided with stoppers on a moving path of the optical pickup.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a disk apparatus and a motor therefor that require low power consumption and reduce errors during recording or reproduction by damping vibration, preventing the motor from falling toward a head. In a disk apparatus comprising a motor and a head, the motor has a rotating portion and a fixed portion, the rotating portion of the motor has a device for holding a disk, the fixed portion of the motor has a bearing section and a stator section mounted in the disk apparatus via damping members, and the damping members are provided in such a way that one side of these members which is closer to a line joining the motor with the head has a higher rigidity than the other side.
Abstract:
The speed of a disc handling operation by a disc apparatus having disc changer capability is significantly increased and, at the same time, the disc handling operation is performed with stability. In the disc apparatus according to this invention, a plurality of reproducing units loaded with discs are moved independently and disc reproduction is started by returning the reproducing units to their dedicated positions. Simultaneous returning of the plurality of reproducing units is prevented and each reproducing unit moves for refuge while reproducing the disc. This novel setup significantly shortens the time for moving the reproducing units for disc reproduction. When continuously reproducing a plurality of discs accommodated in proximity, the plurality of reproducing units are moved in a stacked state rather than independently. This also contributes to a significant reduction of the time in the disc handling operation. Further, when raising the lower reproducing unit in the stack, it is moved together with the upper reproducing unit; when raising the upper reproducing unit, it is separated from the lower reproducing unit for independent movement. This prevents the reproducing units from colliding against each other. The novel constitution significantly enhances ease of use of the disc apparatus.
Abstract:
A slide type cassette loading apparatus includes a loading section for receiving a tape cassette to move the same between an inlet/outlet position and a reference position for loading, and a movable chassis for sliding the cassette, located in the reference position, to a recording/reproducing position while carrying the cassette on the movable chassis. The loading section is of a double structure type which has an outer cassette holder pivotable relative to the movable chassis and an inner cassette holder supported to the outer cassette holder. The inner cassette holder is mounted on the outer cassette holder so as to make a pivotal movement together with the outer cassette holder and be movable in slide directions of the cassette, and is operatively coupled to the movable chassis so as to be movable together with the movable chassis.
Abstract:
A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus has a chassis, a rotary cylinder mounted on the chassis, and at least one guide base movably disposed around the rotary cylinder. The guide base is provided with a guide member for drawing out a magnetic tape from a tape cassette. The guide member draws out the magnetic tape from the tape cassette, as the guide base is being moved, and winds the magnetic tape around the rotary cylinder so that a predetermined tape passage is defined. The magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus further has a capstan mechanism for driving the magnetic tape to run the same. The capstan mechanism is arranged on the same side of the chassis on which the rotary cylinder is disposed, and has a capstan downwards extending toward the chassis to come into direct contact with the magnetic tape.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for increasing the size of a plant seed and the content of fat store within the seed, and more specifically to a composition containing a gene encoding ABC transporter proteins for increasing the size of a plant seed and the content of fat store within the seed, and a method for increasing the size of a plant seed and the content of fat store within the seed comprising a step of introducing said gene and a promoter for overexpressing said gene to a plant.
Abstract:
In an optical disc drive, a degradation of traveling performance of an optical pickup under hard acceleration or hard deceleration in a random access operation or the like results in a degradation of recording/reproducing performance. Groove structure is provided between two gears of a guide feed provided in an optical pickup, and the groove forms bending structure. Thus, the engagement state between a screw gear and the gears of the guide feed is stabilized. This makes it possible to prevent tooth jumping and step-out from occurring in the gears during the traveling of the optical pickup, achieving stable traveling. In consequence, the recoding/reproducing performance of the optical disc drive can be improved.
