Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a method for determining route flapping information, to determine route flapping information based on parameter information reported by a routing device. The method in the embodiments of this application includes the following steps: receiving parameter information sent by each of at least one routing device, where parameter information sent by any routing device includes at least one of protocol packet information, count information, and identity identification information of the any routing device; and determining route flapping information of a target routing device based on the parameter information sent by each of the at least one routing device, where the target routing device is one of the at least one routing device.

Abstract: A method for updating route information includes a monitored network element establishes a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Monitoring Protocol (BMP) connection to a monitoring network element, and sends a first message to the monitoring network element when detecting a synchronization requirement of BGP route information, where the first message instructs the monitoring network element to update a BGP route information set, and the BGP route information set includes at least one piece of BGP route information. The first message indicates an update set, and the update set updates the BGP route information set.

Abstract: This application provides a multicast data packet processing method and a forwarding device. The method implemented by a first forwarding device includes: establishing a segment routing header SRH-based tunnel with a third forwarding device, wherein the SRH-based tunnel passes through a second forwarding device that does not support bit index explicit replication BIER; generating a first multicast data packet based on a multicast data packet from a multicast source and the SRH-based tunnel, wherein the first multicast data packet includes a first packet header, a second packet header, and the multicast data packet from the multicast source, the first packet header includes an SRH header, and a destination address included in the second packet header is an address of the second forwarding device; and sending the first multicast data packet to the second forwarding device through the SRH-based tunnel.
