摘要: The invention relates to a device (1) for writing on thermographic material (5). The inventive device (1) comprises a heater (20) with which the thermographic material (5) is preheated to a temperature, which is lower than a writing temperature. The thermographic material (5) can be written on with a writing instrument (10) which is distanced from the thermographic material (5) after input of an information signal (s(t)). The writing instrument (10) has a plurality of individually controllable point sources (30-33; 51-53). The thermographic material (5) can be written on in a point-by-point manner with said point sources (30-33; 51-53).

摘要: A substantially light-insensitive black and white thermographic material including a support and a thermosensitive element, containing a substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent therefor in thermal working relationship therewith and a binder, wherein the binder is a water-dispersible film-forming polymer with covalently bonded moieties with one or more acid groups or anhydrides thereof and the thermographic material is thermally developable under substantially water-free conditions; and a process for producing the substantially light-insensitive black and white thermographic material comprising the steps of: producing an aqueous dispersion of the substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt; producing one or more aqueous coating compositions containing together the aqueous dispersion of the substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt, the reducing agent and the binder; and applying the one or more aqueous coating compositions to the support thereby forming after drying the thermosensitive element.

摘要: A recording material comprising a support and a thermosensitive element containing silver behenate, an organic reducing agent therefor in thermal working relationship therewith and a binder, wherein the silver behenate is not associated with mercury and/or lead ions and when the recording material is irradiated with a copper K.alpha..sub.1 X-ray source the ratio, normalized to a quantity of silver in the recording material of 1 g per m.sup.2 thereof, of the sum of the peak heights of the X-ray diffraction lines attributable to silver behenate at Bragg angles, 2.THETA., of 6.01.degree., 7.56.degree., 9.12.degree., 10.66.degree., 12.12.degree. and 13.62.degree. to the sum of the peak heights of the X-ray diffraction lines at Bragg angles, 2.THETA., of 25.60.degree., 35.16.degree. and 43.40.degree. of NIST standard 1976, rhombohedral Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, determined with the same X-ray diffractometer in the same state of adjustment, is greater than 0.85; production processes for particles of substantially light-insensitive organic silver salt comprising silver behenate with these X-ray characteristics in the presence and substantial absence of organic solvent.

摘要: A free radical radiation curable inkjet ink containing a photoinitiator and polymerizable compounds includes a) no more than 15 wt % of one or more monofunctional acrylates wherein the homopolymer thereof has a Tg smaller than 20° C.; and b) at least 45 wt % of a mixture of monomers consisting of b1) 10 to 45 wt % of a N-vinyl lactam and/or a vinylether acrylate; and b2) 10 to 45 wt % of an ethoxylated and/or propoxylated polyacrylate having a molecular weight of at least 450; wherein all wt % are based on the total weight of the inkjet ink; and wherein the Tg is determined by the DSC method in ISO 11357-2:1999.

Pigment Yellow 150 and a polymeric dispersant according to Formula (I): wherein, T represents hydrogen or a polymerization terminating group; Z represents the residue of polyethyleneimine having a number-average molecular weight of at least 100; A represents an oxyalkylene carbonyl group; T-C(O)An- represents a TPOAC-chain which is bound to Z through an amide bond; and n and m are integers wherein m is at least 2 and n is from 2 to 100; the polymeric dispersant fulfills the conditions of: WTPOAC>57 and NAmide≧65 mol % wherein WTPOAC represents the ratio of the weight percentage of TPOAC-chains over the weight percentage of amide bonds in the polymeric dispersant; NAmide represents the mol % of amide bonds based on the total nitrogen content of the polymeric dispersant; and the values of WTPOAC and NAmide are calculated from the total nitrogen content determined by dry combustion of the polymeric dispersant and from the amine content determined through potentiometric titration in a mixture of CH3COOH:THF (14.5:0.5) with 0.1N aqueous perchloric acid.
