Abstract:
The improved snorkel dry top has a fulcrum to which a float member and a diaphragm yoke are attached. The fulcrum has a blocking tab that rests in an aperture in the float member attaching hook when the snorkel is above the surface of the surrounding water. The diaphragm yoke cannot rotate the diaphragm when the blocking tab is in the hook aperture. Therefore, even when tilted, the snorkel remains open allowing free flow of air into the snorkel tube. Another significant improvement is the connection of the float member, diaphragm and yoke to the snorkel top's splashguard mask. This improvement assures that the delicate structures of these components are not exposed to potentially destructive impact forces in the event that the splashguard mask is removed from the snorkel tube.
Abstract:
In one embodiment a buckle includes at least one rectangular frame having two side members, at least one cross member parallel to and between the side members for dividing an opening formed by the frame into a plurality of slots, and two end members; and at least one strap; wherein a portion of the strap sequentially passes the slots by engaging over each of the at least one cross member is not overlapped with the end of the strap secured to one face of either side member or one face of the cross member. An easy adjustment of the tension of the strap is made possible.
Abstract:
An adjustable buckle includes a base including a top column; a hollow rectangular sliding plate slidably put on the column and including inclined front and rear ends each falling into a dip between two of a series of ratchet teeth of either strap, two inclined sides, and a resilient assembly secured on the sliding plate; and a cover including two parallel side walls, front and rear struts each with the strap partially wrapped around, and two latches each on the side wall. Pressing the latches will lift the sliding plate with the resilient assembly being compressed, disengage the front and rear ends with the dip, and enable the straps to slide through front and rear openings of the cover, and releasing the latches will cause the sliding plate to fall due to the expanding resilient assembly, and cause the front and rear ends to fall into the dip.
Abstract:
A container for displays of goods includes a cardboard base including a first section having first slits and a second section having second slits wherein the first section is adapted to dispose in covering relationship to the second section with the first slits being aligned with the second slits; and a transparent cover including peripheral inserts adapted to insert through the first and the second slits for releasably fastening the cover, the first section, and the second section together. An article of goods is adapted to either place in a space defined by the cover and the first section or remove from the space by detaching the cover from the first section or opening the cover. A person is allowed to touch or try the article of goods by nondestructively removing the cover. Moreover, the removed article of goods can be stored in the container again.
Abstract:
In one embodiment a dive mask for use in swimming, diving including, or one of other water sports activities, includes a flexible skirt adapted to sealingly cover the face; a frame mounted around a front opening of the skirt for covering the eyes and including one or two lenses fitted therein; a flexible strap interconnecting two ends of the frame, the strap adapted to hold the dive mask on the head; and a nose enclosure formed with the skirt and disposed under, the nose enclosure being adapted to sealingly cover the nose. The nose enclosure includes a flexible portion at either side such that a pressing of the flexible portions with the hand, as a first step of “ear pressure equalization” act prior to diving, will stretch same substantially without causing movement of a peripheral edge of the skirt.
Abstract:
A flexible fastening device includes a male fastening unit including a hook member securely looped around a mask strap, and a stud, and a female fastening unit including a clip put on a breathing tube of a snorkel, and two opposite latched members projected from the clip. The clip includes a bent bridge interconnected the latched members. The latched members include an aperture formed between its open ends. A space is defined by the latched members and the bridge and is communication with the external through the aperture. In a fastened position of the male and the female fastening units the stud is lockingly received in the space. Compressing opposite portions of the clip toward each other will deform the bridge, splay the latched members, and enlarge the aperture so as to permit a subsequent pulling of the stud out of the space through the aperture.
Abstract:
An integral pocket of fin having a forward blade is disclosed. In one embodiment, the foot pocket includes a vamp, an outside counter, and a plurality of stretchable connection members interconnected the vamp and the outside counter. The connection members are adapted to stretch when the human foot is inserted in the foot pocket so as to fit different individuals with various foot sizes.
Abstract:
A mask strap retaining clip releasably secured a breathing tube of snorkel to a diver's mask strap. The retaining clip comprises a clip unit with the diver's mask strap passed through and a ring unit put on the breathing tube. The ring unit comprises a mushroomlike projection extended from its peripheral surface. The projection comprises a neck having a width and a length longer than the width. The clip unit comprises large and small holes. The neck can move from the large hole to the small hole when a lengthwise direction the breathing tube is aligned with a channel between the holes such that the breathing tube can be disposed in an operating position by subsequently turning itself. The clip unit has a tab and the ring unit has a dent for lockingly engaging the tab when the neck is disposed in the small hole.
